will h'towns run in be affected by the return of GAA?
we won't be hit as badly as in previous years, a bigger squad with more depth this year than previous years but some players may GAA commitments clashing with the run in.....

cup quarter final
caherdavin3-2wembley
very tight game as usual with caherdavin in the greenhills cant exactly get it down and pass it say it was very poor match to watch very tough game. we threw it awat to be honest 2-1 up 5 mins to go. hard place to win whoever has to go there from now til end of season will have tough match.
anyone hear anything in the rumour that hill celtic might fold next year if they lose access to hogan park cause of limerick fc getting the long term lease and because of this happening they re will 3 teams getting promoted from 1a. im sure its not true but just heard this over the weekend.
Any player sent off receives an automatic one match suspension weather or not he appears before the committee. This means that you are suspended for your next match regardless if you are notified or not, you may receive a longer suspension if the committee decides the offence was serious enough to warrant it.

Best of luck tonight Abbeyvale....most consistent team in the division....and no disrespect to Corbally but we need Star to win to keep it as open as possible......

star and corbally drew 1-1!!! if we beat herbertstown and corbally and herbertstown draw we could still be there at the end for a play-off..slim chance but u'd never know!!! we still have to win all our games!!!
Wembley are the team to watch for 2nd spot....best run in...not playing any of the teams chasing second.....
Congratulation to Star on promotion last night....
Methinks Corbally to go up, clearly the best footballing side in the division.
no doubt about them being the best footballing team fonsie.....but they were the best footballing team last year too and they blew it....
Any other results from last nite. Watched some of caherdavin match last nite, the 2 teams werent great. A draw would have been a fair result, caherdavin only had one real chance and they took it.
I believe these are the 4 results from last night
Summerville 2-0 Balla
Corbally 1-1 Star
Dines 1-2 Wembley
Coonagh 0-1 Caherdavin
Bishop what kind of a run in do ye have, i taught second was between ye and corbally. Do u think wembly could do itQuote:

well done to star on their promotion last night. easily deserved.
we have Croom on Saturday, then the remaining games are Caherdavin, Summerville, Corbally....if Wembley win their remaining games, which I think they will, H'town, Corbally and Summerville have a good chance of taking points off each other, putting Wembley in the driving seat.....
Bishop are you involved with Herbertstown? I have to say I dont think ye will go up ye just don't have what it takes.
I think the Table will finish like this:
Star
Corbally
Wembley
Summerville
Herbertstown
I am fonsie....we will just keep our heads down and try to dig out the results...Quote:

Wembley to snake promotion despite playing our worst football since relgation from premier 5 or 6 years ago. very poor 1a this year.
our remaining fixtures
home: croom, abbey, coonagh
away: star(50 quid a man abbeyvale to throw it rounding up the money at every training session)
anyone know one of corballys fixtures know they have caherdavin and herbertstown.

They were in the middle of a bad run. Should have mauled ye 4 or 5. Also saw ye away to Geraldines. Again, poor.
I think Summerville & Corbally will take ye. Summerville to win 2-0 & Corbally 3-0. But that's soccer and I think ye have found year level in 1A/1B.:)
pulling no punches thereQuote:

This is a team that lost half their team and were looking at relegation. And saw them lose to star. Fair enough star beat most teams this year but if corbally are good enough to go up they should have given em a better game. I though star and corbally would get promotion but Im leaning towards wembley for second spot.Quote:

I know i'm going to get slated for what i'm going to say but here goes. Firstly I don't think any of the sides in 1A are good enough to compete in the premier next season and i'm including Star. The nucleus of the Star side are the same players that were relegated with Abbey last year. Unless they sign 5 or 6 well established premier players in the summer i can see them going straight back down next season.Quote:

Would the sides from County Limerick be better off forming a country league? At least then Charleville would win a title and teams like Herbertstown could compete at the top level?
totally agree with you as any person with any soccer brain would agree star are only a pub team like hill celticQuote:

Hey thats your opinion. I dont agree with you but thats your opinion. If ye had the best players (FACT) would ye have not walked the league instead of star. Why do you think ye didnt win it?Quote:

we didnt win the league becauce as you said, we thought we were going to walk it and didnt prepare right for games against the lesser teams. our arrogance cost us, as it does evry year, but we'll learn. as for the girls team, their not too bad, think most of them are starting for wembley at this stage!!!Quote:

If Wembley have to meet corbally, that could be a tough run in.
Still reckon Star Corbally Wembley 1-2-3 with Summerville/Herbertstown sneaking 4th.
