Always strikes me watching older videos how empty grounds are. People can complain about the quality, which I don't buy, but there's demand here for the league.
Also, the match finished 7-3. Little chance of even a quarter than many goals tonight, I'd say.
Derry full value for that win
For all the criticism this season they could be on for a double.

I think technically the playoff final is Friday and the Cup final is Sunday - so they could play both...!

Move the playoff to Thursday evening maybe?
A few years back the fixtures list had an alternative playoff date if a team also made the cup final. The fairest move might be to postpone the promotion-relegation playoff to the following Friday.Quote:

I understand it is unfair with the travel for Derry, but the game will be 'finished on the day'. If it is too late this year, lets do it from now on. Until central places ike Athlone or Longford get better staduia, I can't see how we can have neutral semis outside of Dublin/Tallaght.

Longford would be almost suitable if they had proper media facilities. Certainly has the capacity required, just lacks TV facilities and probably more access/exits needed too for a major segregated crowd.Quote:
