It's Gas.. We'd all have S Reid in the middle like a shot, but he'll probbly be at right back with Andrews in the middle at club level.

Very true. Of the squad for the Estonia game, January has seen moves for Gibson, Andrews, McShane and Keogh. Regarding the two men arguably most in contention for starting berths, Gibson and Andrews have secured promising moves. Gibson's is working out well thus far, now the onus is on Andrews to push on for the remainder of the season in the PL. Realistically,the three primary centre mid options of Whelan, Gibson and Andrews could finish up the season on the back of strong runs of regular PL football. This doesn't even take into account James McCarthy. Fingers crossed.Quote:

Good move for Andrews. It really does bode well for the Euros just how many first-team and squad players we have playing week in and week out. I remember a few years ago, many (most?) of our regular starters were warming the benches at their respective clubs.

No, as in a loyalty payment from Blackburn to Andrews himself. The loyalty payment is generally forfeited when the player makes an official request to be transferred. I think Fabregas, for instance, received £4.4m from Arsenal because he never officially lodged a request. He's not exactly receiving that amount (I think Barcelona included it in the fee to Arsenal and it's subsequently been deducted from his wages), but the principle stands.Quote:
