I suppose tho CB is another problem area for us. And i mean players who do it week in week out. That's assuming you ignore McCarthy and Byrne in the championship.

Watched the Ipswich game today. Both he (at LB, then CB) and Delaney (started CB, scored and was sent off) were dreadful. In fact, Keane's whole team looked like they weren't a unit, but the defence was particularly terrible. Maybe the injury is beginning to affect O'Dea.
Hoolahan scored a delightful goal for Norwich and there were quite a few other Irish lads playing. Poor enough game though.
I just saw Norwich's first goal. O'Dea coughed up that ball so easily! What a crap player.
Personally I'll give the benefit of the doubt to anyone managed by Keane. I've been disappointed with O'Dea overall though, never really lived up to the promise he showed against Milan in the Champions League a few years ago.
He had a poor game all right. Needs to get the finger out.
Probably better for all concerned if Roy Keane was kept away from Irish footballers and probably all footballers.
Keane could be a King at Crufts and thats what he should spend the rest of his days at (Meow!!!).
O'Dea had a good game tonight by all accounts. Time for an uplift in form?
Good to hear. I had really high hopes for O’Dea but he somehow hasn't delivered on his potential. Lets hope this gives him a boost.
Surprised to see that no one has mentioned that O'Dea signed on a season long loan for Leeds yesterday.
Can't see him getting game time at centre half ahead of Kisnorbo and O'Brien, Leeds are short at left back but I don't think that's his best position, would sooner see him at centre half. Really needs to play regularly at this stage of his career.....

Straight into the Leeds side, presumably at left back with O'Brien in the centre. David Connolly starts up front for Southampton.
Goal scored by Darren O'Dea from inside the penalty box to the bottom right corner of the goal - v Coventry
Just woke up but apparently has gone off injured for Leeds. Anyone watching the game know how it happened?
" suffering from dizziness " apparently. I wouldn't be too worried. John o Shea's hammie is gone and Greg Cunningham injured but not sure why
Woops....Leeds beat 7-3 tonight. O'Dea had a stinker supposedly.
Interesting that, because he was brilliant against M'boro'. Pure blood 'n' guts performance which led to Martin Keown branding him a "brick wall", which was fitting since for all his strength, he looked quite sluggish at times.
The problem with O'Dea is his pace. I've followed his career for a long time, since I seen him playing with Home Farm. He has a lot of good qualities but at the highest level his pace will let him down.
Largely I thought he was great v the Czechs, although he was part of the mess that contibuted to the goal. Our back 4 doesn't play high up the pitch drummerboy so if he's thrown into the Spain game he's hardly going to get caught out chasing Silva from the half-way line on a 1v1 is he?
I suppose he would benefit from the extra half yard around the box. Keown's comment as posted by Predator doesn't surprise me, I love O'Dea's commitment.
Not good news fro O'Dea or Ireland. He really needs to move to a club where he is guaranteed regular football.

it's a strange move from Warnock, O'Dea's only missed two games this year for Leeds, which he was suspended for after collecting 10 bookings, but he was straight back into the starting XI after that
He needs to be training full time at the very least. Celtic have 5(?) dead-rubbers left in their season. It's a no risk option for them to pick him for a few games, Lennon might even see something he likes in him.
A LoI club could take him on loan during May if they can get Celtic to pay most of his wages. It'd be good publicity.
