Yes the danger of those wide forwards is that they do come back to help too much and then don’t provide an outlet when we regain possession. Tracking back is good but we need at least two attacking players to stay in advanced positions to act as a check on opposing defenses and provide options for a pass.Quote:

McGoldrick wasnt my favorite player to be honest but he a good pro so we will miss him in the short term. Time for the young fellas to step up and show they are good enough.
A disappointment but hopefully it accelerates the development of some of our young strikers. Also opens the door to someone like Hogan or Maguire who have disappointed so far but I believe could still be important for us, at least as a bridge before the likes of Idah and Parrott (hopefully) push on.
He wont be missed. Maybe Kenny told him that he would fast track the youngsters and he didnt want to remain on the bench. If thats the case thank you and bring another 9. I think this is a colective sport, he thought individually, pros and cons.
