The hurling final this year didn't seem to have too much hype beforehand. The majority of the crowd are going to come the teams contesting the final.

Besides neutral loi supporters it is also an occasion for non loI supporter to go to a match with the 3 best teams in the country and see the product that we have on offer.
Since the fai have took over the running of the league I am at a loss to count of the many missed opportunities that have occurred. Clubs can only do so much but there does come a time when the organising body need to step up and offer support guidance and promotion of their competitions
At a time when non LOI heads are showing as much interest as they ever have in the league off the back of Dundalks success of course it should have been massively pushed by the FAI they did a hell of a lot more advertising for friendlies against Oman ffs. Great chance to possibly get a huge crowd with a lot of people that would never have thought of going before in and be in with a chance of getting them back but as usual its been missed.
Just on the train up now. Really looking forward to this one, think it will a better game than last year. Seems to be more of a buzz down here this year. We really need to get our hands on some silverware to have something to show for the progression of the last few years. Hopefully the result goes our way this year. I don't think I could handle losing out to dundalk again
The 2010 cup final was hyped up a lot by the FAI. First final back in new Lansdowne etc. 36k turned up. They've done jack all for any final since.
Poor crowd
Looks like a typical FAI Cup final.
Absolute dog$hit game.
26400 up on last year, so on that criteria alone a success of sorts. However, I was hoping for closer to 30,000 due to the higher than usual profile and media coverage of the League, but given the Failures usual lack of promoting the final, maybe the actual attendance is the best we could have hoped for under the circumstances.
Got entertaining in the last ten or so minutes when the teams were sort of frantically trying to avoid extra time. Other than that, sort of dull. ET could be a snore with how exhausted both teams look.
The absolute state of the lines on the pitch. Barely visible at all, and when they are they're crooked!
Well done Cork - Rovers team of the 80s record still the one to beat.
