I don't think there's any straight forward ties there. Even the most optimistic Sligo fan might say they have no chance, but anything can happen in a one-off game

I am made up with this draw. I have a feeling that we will be playing Sheriff YC. Would fancy them more than Athlone's side. We beat Sheriff in Clontarf Astro in the LSC semi final last season and they made it a real tough game. I cant remember if they took the lead or not?
No we took the lead but yeah the should have hammered us only for Deans and Bennion. However that was the LSC and a reserve team this is the big cup!Quote:

Sheriff were the better team both times against Athlone, from what I've been told. With a few more weeks of gametime behind them, they should be capable of challenging Longford.
Athlone are chronic though in fairness. Still I'm sure it won't be easy.
Athlone are absolutely terrible though. Lately, they've been as bad an Athlone team as there's been in years.
