Does that mean your capacity is limited to 1800, or will there be extra seats before July?

The new stand will be in place by then
I think Pats are just raising some extra funds for the transfer window by selling the top soil. :pQuote:

REDEVELOPMENT OF RICHMOND PARK COMMENCES
The development of a new all-seater stand at the Inchicore end of the ground has commenced this week.
Top soil is being removed from the ‘hill’...
Mons clubhouse has had womens toilets since it opened many moons ago. So Oriel, Dundalk are only first in the fake pitch department.
the "longford town" entry lists 6000 with no explanation, the "flancare park" lists 4500 with no detail except at the end of a blurb and your official site says nothing but how to get there and the stadium rules. my apologies for missing 1 sentence on one of ~30 websites/articles i had to go on to get those figures. i've been to your cold arse-of-nowhere 'stadium' and i know there are seats, i didnt know how many, hence the question mark rather than a zero. if you had issue with something all you had to so was correct it rather strolling in on a white horse, high-and-mighty about your soon-to-be pride of the first division white elephant stadium.
Dalymount has 7,935 seats
Eh wouldn`t EVERY clubhouse or bar not have ladies and gents toliets.
I meant new ladies toilets built specifically for a terracing part of a ground. May not be first, but good news in this area all the same
Re your 'first' comment, if you want a nice 'first' try the first irish team to win an european match away from home, that was in the mid 196o's by the way.
We had 848 seats up to the end of last season. The new Cascarino Stand is about 600 seats, so isn't included in those figures.
We have 1052 standing officially (based on an official capacity of 1900 last year) - there was obviously a "0" left out of the figures.
pats fans - thought richmond looked great last night - thats a real improvement in the shed end, esp the terracing in the corner - seems a popular place for fans to go now
Whats that big white object in the corner ?
Also good to see the awful cliff demolised on the other end, whats going in there, a new stand ?
Our multi-storey toilets, DEFINITELY a first for the league. So everyone else can stop boasting about how advanced their club is for having lady jacks.
(The disabled toilets are on the top floor, BTW:) )
New temp stand replacing the hill to be in place for UEFA all going well.
The non-Shed part of the Shed is a great place to watch the game, really surprised as I couldn't see it happening.
What will the temporary stand look like (roughly). Will it be the same as the Bray one?
That's what I thought.
Which is why building a temporary stand for the UEFA cup has got me awful confused. Maybe they allow 20 year structure type buildings or something? Do any Pats fans know a little more about this?
They don't allow scaffolding or unsecured type structures (after the Corsica disaster).
As long as the seats are attached its fine.
I suspect its referred to as a temporary stand is because it will be razed when the whole ground is re-developed by the megabucks property developer.
Its a strange one, but the foundations, etc will be permanent. It could be apermanent stand but its the quickest way of getting an acceptable stand up, and the new permanent one will be done when planning etc is ready (of that makes sense)
We have planning permission as it is, but we could't build what we wanted to build in 6 weeks. So this is the compromise
Thats good news about pats - def looks great on the tv - ok you won the jacks argument there !
magicme - agree 100% - disgusting that the lineswoman hilda and co have to walk thru a bar to use the toilets. scandalous sitaution - i have been asking questions about for this for ages - the new dressing rooms next year should sort it - but thats next season. there is 3/4 of this season to go
Hilda has her very own dressing room in Athlone!
Good view of it in this clip (good goal too :ball: ).

It's the big monolothic white structure directly behind the goalposts in the side camera view. As I said, the wheelchair accessible toilets are on the top floor.:)
Thanks Gerry, I presume it's that big white structure left of the main stand. So why 2-storey? - how is the upstairs accessed?
Also:
i'm still trying to update the details on stadium sizes. can anyone confirm the (standing & seated) capacities of the following:
Bray Wanders
Cork City
Derry City
Dundalk
Sligo Rovers
Athlone Town
Cobh Ramblers
Drogheda Utd.
Galway Utd.
Kilkenny City
Limerick 37
Monaghan Utd
Waterford Utd.
so I can compare the figures i have from 96/97 & 99/00
Thanks
cobh ramblers will be 1400 seats in a few weeks, when we complete the stand, the rest of the ground would hold id say 3000-4000 if not more, unsure as its a big terrace thats there, so around 5000-6000 total
I've put the capacity of Flancare as 6,700 all seated - a reasonable guestimate. (i think the figure is 6685 or 6785 something like that)
Galway United when the new stand is finished and new Seating in the old Stan will be 3,400 with room for another 1,500 standing.
There is actually room in front of the new stand as well.front row of seats is over head high .
the areas for standing will be pretty much un-affected. there has been hoarding on the city side of the ground for a few years now. the new stand is set back behind this and there will be a small terrace in front of the stand which is elevated a few feet. terrace areas behind both goals will be unchanged.
i don't know if they are putting a concrete terrace each side of the stand but i think they definately should.
Dundalk have 1,200 seats, rest of ground reduced since last time due to new terracing and also dressing rooms and new car park being bulit behind one goal, so would say terracing 8,800 for no other reason than 10,000 would be have to be the max these days.
Plan is to eventually seat all of the new terracing facing the stand, not sure when, but that will further reduce capacity
Think the number of seats in our stand is 2038.
Standing round the ground you would fit maybe 3000 more but we are only cleared for 2000 standing from what I heard.
So 4038 but will be a 6000 all seater in a few years all going well
