Herebertstown defended very well and deserved their 3points, best of luck to them.
Pitch was in good nick also.
they will be missing the 3 that were sent off yesterday for startersQuote:

Long time gone but had major probs with the back! Still out but have to say what a set of results at the weekend!! Mr. Morton....... sickened I presume! From what i'm told the summerville boyo's at it .......again!! (Any comments Mona??) And what about the boys from Abbey???? What a game, what a result and well deserved.
Played very well. No keeper, manager in goals!!!! Stuck it to them went a goal up and they were lucky to equalise. Winner courtesy of a howler from their keeoer. Ball came in he tried to catch it and slipped through his hands, simple nod into the net! Great game and without being biased we played them off the park..... tuesday night should be interesting!!Quote:

We (A) are still in with a good chance...The reason ye didn't get to change in the clubhouse was because only one dressing room is ready at the moment so the away teams get the portacabin....Better than nothing boss!!!
Thats fair enough.Quote:

The Summerville player and our keeper both apologised afterwards in the changing rooms so not so bad.
Was the abbey/shannon game in the naughton cup ?Quote:

Fair play to ye. They are not an easy team to beat especially out in shannon. Are ye playing them tonight again in the league?Quote:

As far as I know suspensions only come apply when you receive official notification. LDMC meet on Tuesday night so suspensions will be sent out tomorrow and arrive in post on Thursday or Friday and will probably say that they apply from Monday next. If its one game then the next game after Monday next.
anybody any fixtures for the weekend
Only Balla B playing H'Town in Bateman Sat evening..no other league games down for the weekend..Quote:

Also heard that Wembley beat an understrenght Balla team tonight 5-0 as 3 Balla players were suspended, and Balla struggled to get a team out.

To answer your query above, I think there is a new rule in, that if a player is sent off he will automatically miss the next game regardless of when the LDMC have their meetings, as 3 Pike players (that were sent off v Regional last Thursday night, and missed last Sunday's win v Balla) will testify.
If the Wembley result from tonight is correct then the updated table is as follow's:
1) Star Rvs Pl 17 / Pts 43. (Max Pts 58)
2) Herbertstwon Pl 17 / Pts 35. (Max Pts 50)
3) Corbally Pl 18 / Pts 35. (Max Pts 47)

Watched the first 65 minutes of the Star game also and they looked good. Could have been 4 or 5 by half time if the Star forwards had taken all their chances. Yogi in goal for Coonagh was a strange choice, was he injured.
Our Keeper got injured against Summerville...it shows u need a quality keeper to have any chance...in fairness the gale force wind did not help either team...but Star are the best team in that division as that was Coonaghs first league defeat since Xmas....But of luck to Star...do things so simple...hold the ball upand play the space...Solid defence also.Quote:

I taught yogi was gone from A team, since he had fight with frankie glynn
He is with the B team for most of the season and as usual playing up front. The As were stuck for a keeper last night. Well stuck.Quote:

I was only saying that because ye were stuck for players a few games back when Pat Boland had to play for ye. So if are already promoted and are champions ye could find some players having less interest.Quote:

ive been away lads but read the jnr soccer section in the star and it said H'town were promoted already, surely not?
ya read that myself in the star they got the goalscorers name wrong too. they must of got wrong information cause herbertstown have a bit of work to do yet to make sure of promotion but there in the best position to get promoted win there remaining games and there up.
