Elden de Gentrouwe wa pretty exotic for Dundalk back in thoe day.
It's hard to know what Zefi wants to do - he has been without a club since July. Playing in the LOI if nothing else would put him in the shop window.
As for Bohs - if Darragh Power comes in then Fenlon/Reynolds have done a good bit of transfer business this season. The defence needed a revamp and Power would complete that if it happens.
Owen Elding joining Hibernian from Sligo Rovers
only 400k upfront. That's a mierable fee considering he had two years left on his deal.
And it's not as if they'll can expect a big payout from a sell-on. Hibs haven't sold a player for more than 3.5m in the past decade.
Brennan to Rovers confirmed.
That's Adam Brennan, Seán Brennan, Ronan Finn, Hugh Parker and Cathal McCarthy we've lost in the past 12 months - serious amount of talent and experience there. Not sure how we replace it tbh. Fifth might be the best we hope for this season
Enda, Cory, Victor, even Trevor Clarke, if we're stuck, can all play LWB so that will take the pressure off the young lad. Happy that we're signing young lads with 'high ceilings' as Bradley would put it. Similar to Michael Noonan, get a year out of him and then flog him for big money!
A fairly random Kerry signing, as Brandon Bermingham arrives from Dungannon Swifts - seems he can either play as a striker or a winger, so will at least be a useful utility player.
Yeah but I wouldn't have any of them first choice, would you? Enda maybe but we need to see if he has the legs. Cory is great but he's not replacing Honohans goals or general play.
But yeah, it's looks like a good bit of business. If he is capable of being the best of that bunch when played we'll be doing well.
We lost the 17s league in injury time last year - though ye've robbed our top scorer from that of corset. We were champions three years ago and got through a round of Europe as a result - but half that team has gone, including Adam Brennan and the two guys now at Hull.
So probably, but not sure it'll be quick enough for this season. We should be fine defensively; it's up front we really need something
Both John Fallon and Dan McDonnell yesterday on X confirmed Shels are resisting interest in Harry Wood from the UK, the UK transfer window closes tomorrow night so it's one to keep an eye on incase there is an improved transfer fee that Shels cannot refuse keeping in mind Wood's contract expires at the end of this season
Cian Barrett joins Waterford on loan for the season from Shamrock Rovers.
It was always going to be a smaller fee unfortunately. Owen Elding has no agent, his Dad has a huge influence. It was well known that Anthony wanted him into a first team squad. u21s, u23s, B teams, out on loan, etc. were no an option. This ruled out a huge amount of clubs. Its always been about his development. It could work out either way of course, but a decent debut a few days after joining Hibs is a good start.
Elding has a very good agent
Anywhere with updated squads/signings for the first division? Extratime doesnt seem to have them this season & the one I found on twitter hasn't been updated in ages
On the socials too.

Will Jarvis back at Shels on a 3 year contract for another big fee. Huge signing that, they should run rovers and Derry close for the league
Patrick Conliffe / PLG Group
Rovers window has SO FAR been quiet.
Same team as last year minus Mandroiu plus Mulraney and byrne is back from pergotory.
Enda stevens will be a help especially when Pico is gone to the world cup. Noonan and Oshivunu a year older...
Reasons to ne hopeful and Brennan looked good when he came on against Derry.
What a week this is was for Shels, could have grabbed a nice transfer fee for Wood on Monday but doubled down to keep Wood with bringing Jarvis back two players who have the difference maker credentials if you want to win back the league title
Thomas Morley, Seán Murphy, Goodness Ogbonna and Charles Akinrintoyo look like they're the new signings at UCD for the season. Ogbonna has come up from the underage teams - was in the Ireland U17 squad at the recent World Cup. Thomas Morley is listed as Sligo Rovers online? Akinrintoyo is from Rovers' academy and no idea about Seán Murphy, which isn't the easiest of names to Google!
Ogbonna came from us as well but must have gone into your underage setup last year? Thought he was with your first team already tbh.
Heard good things about him and Akinrintoyo. Hope they do well for you.
Fairly sure I had Sean as a lecturer back in the day. Some career move for him.
Goodness is from Longford, and spent a few years in the Rovers underage setup alright. Think he made the bench for a European game last year at some stage, open to correction on that though. Moved to UCD last summer I believe, but was playing with their underage teams the second half of last year. A shame he's not with us tbh, meant to be a good prospect.
Not sure if it was a European game, but he did make the bench for us at least once, alright. Think it was during a bit of an injury crisis, but still shows that he was well thought of and around the first team squad. Was surprised when he left tbh as he was featuring for Ireland and seemed to be doing well.
Could be a good signing for Rovers. He certainly is a profitable one. Goes for €450k 2 years ago and comes back for free.
