Looks like promotion from the 1st division will be a close run thing. Avenue b look like favourites for the title but there are only 6pts separating 2nd from last. Surely all these teams are still in the race for promotion especially if 4th spot can get a play off place
Is it true that Ennis town B have been deducted 6 points for playing an illegal player against sporting ennistymon. Those this also mean that sporting get the result reversed and get the points
To be honest Avenue b would be the only team capable of competing in the premier and they can't even get promoted, just take a look at where Bridge Celtic are this season and they were the runners up in the 1st last year.It would be a joke to ask teams that finish 4th or even 5th to be in a playoff to get promoted to the premier. Personally i don't think that it's good for the league if a team wins it and doesn't get promoted.
Good point but how would you sort out the problem of a-teams playing b-teams. Personally I wud have them play each other in the 1st two games that way it would avoid fixing allegations at end of seasons

I agree must be an ex newtown current hibs man trying to stir it up. . He should really look at his own club and try help them get sorted it.. rumour has it they could be folding very shortly too.. seems the emalgimation hasn't worked out too well..no teams from u12s up to junior not great from what was 2 great clubs.. I think shannon town should start in 1st division and will be up near the top come end of season..They will need to get all there good young players back from clubs like newmarket and bridge though if they want to challenge for honours in clare..Quote:
