I'd say you're way off with that one.
The stand was probably half full, at most. Only a few people scattered around the ground too. 800 is very generous.

They're really not. I made the relevant argument here.
I'll just update the figures:
After week 5, we've a league average of 1,370. The final league average last year was 1,221, which seems to say we're up 12%. However, the league average after week five last year was 1,727, which means crowds are down by an astonishing 20% on last year. Caveats apply to numbers like this so early in the season, but crowds are not up by any reasonable measure.
But your point is invalid, because of what John83 has noted. So far - compared to the same few games last year, which is vital - crowds are down, not up.
correct me if Im wrong I reckon there was around 500-600 fans at our game the other night...
Would have said about 700 as well if I had to guess. Biggest crowd so far anyway as you'd expect.
In fairness, 800 doesn't seem too ridiculous for Bray-Drogs. Maybe a bit less but not too much.
Any sign of updates on the averages or is that finished now?
I thought the clubs average attendances were there every week last season?

Can you bold the official attendences like last season?
Was the same at our match too. Surely if a few people turn up at the gate willing to pay to get in you'd let them in? More money for the club after all and after all whats the use in empty seats? Was wondering about this during our game as you could have easily made a couple more hundred by taking a few at the gate, after all we shouldn't be turning away fans at league of Ireland games, ever.
How come there is figures for 5 games when there has only been 3 home league games so far??
Any other takers for really silly questions? This thread's full of them of late.
You don't like silly questions then?
Anyway- aidz1, I think you're looking at the averages for previous years there.

Thanks for the ignorant response...
I'd say about 1200 at the Bray v Derry match.
700 in rehab bingo stand, the rest behind the goal plus Dart side stand. Good Derry support :)
1470 official attendance at terryland
1429 at Fingal V Shelbourne
487 at the Limerick v Kildare game I think was what was announced
I'd guess 1600 at Pats-Drogheda
About 250 at UCD-Wexford. Think it was our biggest of the season, though there were fewer than usual in the outer two blocks.
