Spot on there Tets, he is a selfish player but you'd have to admire his desire for goals. Makes him the threat that he is.

I dunno, I'd have more admiration myself for a player with the ability to recognise when someone else is in a better position with a higher probability of scoring, their stats won't be as impressive but their team will score more goals on the long run.
Yeah! Makes him a good goal scorer, no doubt. But I was watching the Spurs-Pool game and there was a nice little one-two lay off from Torres for Gerrard when Gerard got a shot off and I thought to myself "there's no way Defoe would do that for Keane, but Keane definately would for Defoe"..
Keane gave a couple of nice assists the other night... I seen it under Jol too. If Keane's in a better position, Defoe still won't pass to him. Maybe I'm naive or hypocritical given Keane jumpoed ship for Liverpool. But for me Keane wants to do well for the team as much for himself (Whichever team that is) but for Defoe, it's all about Jermaine Defoe. I believe he wouldn't loose any sleep if Spurs got relegated so long as he got the Golden Boot...
I saw the game during the week and he was absolutley superb. I think he's definately worth a punt for the prem golden boot - 85 :1 on betfair.
Yes we are really in a great postion we drew most of our games and are really lucky not to have lost against really poor opposition.
Lets remember the teams in our group apart from Italy are really poor opposition most of the teams in the other groups would beat these teams and definately draw with them like we have only managed to do.
We are a poor team and we will not qualify and if by some MIRACLE we do qualify we really are no challengers to any semi decent side.
you see people only want to see the same players play in the same positions all the time, the media here and you. Other Countries try their players in different positions all the time.:)
yes,how dare we want to see the players played in their proper positions. As for other countries, who exactly are u talking about? Torres on the wing for Spain maybe? John Terry as a midfield playmaker for England? Van Piersie as left back for Holland? Dont see it happening somehow.... Keep playing Championship manager though, Im sure it works great there
Firstly Keane can't tackle, it's a bit of a running joke with Spurs fans.
Also, our midfield currently has plenty of speed, you generally don't need your holding midfielder to be Usain Bolt...of course you're planning on going to Italy and Bulgaria without any defence and use our incredible speed to pick up two handy away wins. Pitty we can't get Derval O'Rourke in to play centre half.
D'ye see Defoe wouldn't square it for him again on Sat.. I f'in hate him. I sware I hope his cruciate goes...

:D:D Just saw this now! You must have been stewing about that old post of mine for some time!
And eh, yes, feeling smart having placed €400 on Kerry at 1/4 on Saturday, never a surer thing.
He did bring Crouch on and put Keane into the Modric role on Saturday alright but I would be surprised if he started a game like that, he might do it when Spurs are chasing a game but even so Modric is not a out and out winger and tends to come inside a lot to link up with the strikers, RK has no bother doing that side of the game.
I would think Bent'Arry might try Dos Santos out on the left in the home games, he did well in the CC game or alternatively switch Lennon to the left & play Bentley (shudder) or possibly young John Bostock (the kid the "bought" from Palace) who is seens as more a central player but has played wide left in some pre-season games. He will regret letting O'Hara go on loan to Pompey now.
