Getting told about it can't describe it you need to experience it.
Somone mentioned going to the first leg of Bath vs Dagenham and Redbridge a few weeks ago, just watched the replay (on Azerbaijani TV ) and was a pretty good match. Can't believe people waste their time with Champions League.
Awesomes. Have a long day sitting on front of a computer screen ahead of me, then 3 hours down the road to Dublin to play this gig, so..yeah. Will have to really blow the roof of that place.
Who here would work for free? I am currently working 40 hours a week for nothing and am beginning to think I may be insane. I am getting some great experience but little training at the moment as they are not sure if I will be here much longer.
What would you do?
Go Postal.
Tempted but it would be Joan Brutal that would be getting it from me.
Free cocktails almost make up for scheduling conflicts with other half.
Still going to work for free tomorrow coz that's how I roll
death to contract Law.
though IMDB hasn't helped me...
Narrator: Tobias listens to a day's worth of his own words, to see what Michael was referring to...
Tobias Fünke: [on tape] ... even if it means me taking a chubby, I will suck it up.
Tobias Fünke: Nothing wrong with that.
Tobias Fünke: [on tape] Oh, I've been in the film business for a while, but I just can't seem to get one in the can.
Tobias Fünke: It's out of context.
Tobias Fünke: [on tape] I wouldn't mind kissing that man between the cheeks.
Narrator: ...and he realized there is something distinct about the way he speaks.
Tobias Fünke: Tobias, you blowhard.
Another Thanksgiving come and gone, was an excellent day and feast but am sad it'll be a year until the next one :( Christmas is scant consolation.
Late for "work" due to hangover. Dam you free cocktails. Amaretto Sours are my new best friend.
Having a weird day.....got a google alert on news for Monaghan and there was an interview with my dad in the local newspaper in area of Florida that they have their house.
Then some mad bint rings in to comment about cuts in hospitals and starts giving out about Hitler.
Fridays are fun.
In fairness to Hitler, he tended to put a lot more people in hospital rather than less.
She was saying that the HSE were worse than Hitler and they should just gas all the sick people and be done with it.
Kara Tointon.
I'm trying to make an anagram out of manchester united, so far ive got 'mean red ****e' but im left with U, N, T and a C, any idea's?
It's nights like tonight that makes me hate Derry so much:mad:
What happened ya?
Naturally he just decided to take a walk. I feel for ya buddy...
God how I have come to hate these post match interviews with the managers slagging off the referees. Ferguson's on Saturday almost made me sick listening to how these decisions could cost his club at the end of the season and how such and such decision a hundred years ago cost them the league title forgetting about the numerous other decisions that go their way during the season. ONE day a manager might say "I don't think it was the correct decision but that's football. Now as to the game we were cr*p and deserved to lose..."
Derrys just too bleedin' parochial. Two dirtbags were playing a gaming machine for ages, gave up after a while after winning nothing. Twenty minutes later I go play a few games and win a fiver. Seeing this, the dirtbags go complain to bouncers that they had 10 quid credit in it which we stole. Bouncers came over saying my mates a thief as they saw him on the cctv(he being the baby of the group and no way could ya confuse him with me!). I explained to the bouncers who were adamant I owe the dirtbags a tenner, the dirtbags kept giving my friend verbal despite being told he had nothing to do with it. I was hoping they'd threaten to get the police involved(which would have cleared me) but no, we quickly left when we realised all 4 of them were gonna start swinging.
That said, the last time I was in that bar some fella started boring me to death about the "republican struggle". He quickly took a huff with me when I asked him why he supported Chelsea instead of local football. . .
Rant over!
Oh noes! Careful with hypocrisy!
Just don't go into that bar again. I'm glad we don't have fruit machines here.
It seemed tasteless to point this out in the obituaries thread ("So farewell then...", or whatever it's called), but Gary Speed has highlighted yet again that most people don't know the difference between hanged and hung.
Mine preferred curtains to a dog. I've heard of a dog being hung, but it's not exactly an every-day experience for kids these days. Well, I hope not. Maybe the ISPCA decided to "Road Safety Authority"-up their a puppy's not just for Christmas ads while I wasn't looking.
Yeah, though reports that Gary Speed was found hung are rather less tragic than their authors anticipated.
What utterly despicable behaviour. From him, obviously. Reinforcing the gay air steward stereotype!

I like Derry. Used to spend a fair bit of time up and around the place but it has a lot to answer for when it comes to that chap Phil Coulter.
I heard him interviewed the other day. He has this understated arrogance that really grates on me.
He referred to "Ireland's Call" (all his own work) as one of those special songs that raises goosebumps, transcends divisions, captures the magic of an occasion. (I'm paraphrasing from memory).
He also seems to have this 'airbrushed' understanding of history - ach surely sure we we were gerrymandered and oppressed but we were happy.
And then they started playing some supermarket music that he's released for christmas - traditional wee tunes given the full on orchestral treatment.
To think of the legions of decent struggling bands out there trying to make the musical world a better place while this relic takes up time on national radio makes me angry. For a few seconds.
