slightly different version in the Times: http://www.irishtimes.com/newspaper/...326365212.html
Looks more like he hadn't discussed it with GibsonQuote:
Coleman, who said he hasn’t discussed the Ireland situation with Gibson, added: “We see each other every day at training, but it’s his thing and it’s not up to me to tell him to come back. It’s his own decision.
“I actually didn’t know the manager said that (that Gibson would return) last week, so I didn’t ask Gibbo about it, truthfully. It’s something that’s between them.”
I am just looking ahead to being in the World Cup in Brazil and not having the man Gibby... Can't even imagine....
Just giving this a bump as Conor Henderson was getting fed up with all the chat on his thread
Played 63 mins for the Everton U'21s against Reading with no adverse effects reported. Should feature against Norwich if fit, especially as Neville and Fellaini out.
Gibson returns vs. Arsenal tonight to save Everton's season.
Booked a minute after Everton equalise.
How did he play?
Settled back in nicely. Worked hard and made a big difference to Everton's defensive game in closing down and winning the ball back. Without him they lack someone who picks it up from the back four and passes it forward to their attackers. He was his usual self in this regard. One shot on target where he spun on the edge of the box only to hit a tame left-footed shot straight at the keeper. There were a couple of rusty tackles and passes and just before he went off he fell to the floor grimacing but he tried to run it off.
Hopefully he can get up to full fitness and not have any injury setbacks. Wouldn't be surprised if he is rested on Saturday away to Man City.
Starts again for an unchanged Everton XI. The 'injury' was just a knock to his foot. Tough game against Man City who have won 33 out of their last 36 home PL matches.
Just shows some lovely footwork and awareness at the top of the city box and laying off for Naismith to have a shot.
He's playing very well, linking midfield and keeping the ball moving. Just misplaced a through ball there but apart from that his passing has been excellent. Looks like he's gained a few lbs though.
Edit: the goal came from him winning a loose ball that he probably shouldn't have...
Everton are great to watch.
Played very well he really is an excellent midfielder lovely controlled neat passer very comfortable on ball as always and really disciplined. Tothink this time last year he was destined for league one!
That's quite brilliant to be fair.

Yeah, maybe, but could he do it with his eyes closed?
to have the awareness of where barry was there is special
