The past, the present and probably the future :)
You were called worse when you were on the Beagle.
Just seen a shocking miss at Norwich, nothing to do with Wes but it was confusing because I first I though it was a clearance,
turns out it was a Norwich shot, just needed a tap in and he put it over the bar.
anyhow Wes off Kamara on!
Wes "did a Robbie" and nodded in a goalward-bound effort on the line to put Norwich 1-0 up at Sunderland. Was taken off a few minutes later when goalkeeper Bunn was red carded.
Yes a hot cross Bunn was sent off.
However.. there was someone coming in behind Wes and Wes has his back to goal,
I don't think he can be 100% sure the ball could not be cleared if he left it.
Also there is the Bunn sending off for handball, it came off his chest may have hit his arm too, hard to say.

The secong most substituted player in the Premiership (20 times) and second only to Podolski. Not sure what to read in to this. Is it that he puts a super human effort when on the field or lacks stamina or just fades in the latter part of a game ?
Could also be seen partially because as a "third" or linking midfielder he's the most likely to be sacrificed if Norwich are losing and want to bring on a 2nd striker when chasing the game.
or protecting a lead.
I know a lot of the Norwich fans are unhappy at Hughtons use of Holohan.
Norwich are usually behind in games, but either way big players tend to be brought on towards the end
Even if they are ahead the same thing applies as the opposition are bring on their big men and
by passing the midfield.
They usually bring on 6'2 Kamara towards the end, the midfield us usually by passed towards the end.
Plus to be most subbed you also have to be most played.
Played well tonight.
LISTEN TO HIM TRAP!

Assist v Palace, could have had a shot himself but played it back to a better positioned Gary Hooper.
Got a segment in MOTD.
"Wes has he been?"
If he does go in January I don't think he will be short of suitors.
MOL on unused sub Hoolie:

I suppose it put a certain pressure on a manager when a national team coach turns up at a match.
Obviously the club manager will not play the player just to please him, nor would the national team coach
expect that, well not unless he had slipped him a few quid before the game anyway.
A bottle of jameson would have been sufficient.
Or maybe a large box of Hoolahoops.

Has anybody bothered checking Norwich forums or know how the locals feel about Hoolahan's exclusion? I would have only seen them intermittently over the past few seasons but, green tilted glasses or otherwise, invariably he was an integral part of their attack. Are they playing a different system now? Who is it that is keeping him out? Is it justified?, etc, etc.
A couple of weeks ago Sky's Soccer Saturday pundits, including Le Tissier and Phil Thompson, were saying they're amazed Hoolahan hasn't featured lately. They say that he may be incorrectly perceived as a luxury player but that at the very least he should be playing the home games against fellow bottom half teams, although the consensus seemed to be he should be a regular starter.

and prawn flavored potato chips? Eww.
They score more with Hoolahan in the team than they do without him; and I don't think their form without him is enough to vindicate ostracising him from the team. Hughton doesn't use him whether they are holding on to a lead, going for a winner or looking for a goal. Sometimes he doesn't even get on the bench. He clearly doesn't fancy him and it's a reflection of just how good Hoolahan was last season that even Hughton couldn't justify not playing him.
Hoolahan starts for Norwich today.

If anyone is inclined.
He's very busy. Nice one-two with Johnson on the edge of the box, found space and had a decent shot blocked by Carrick. One of several chances he's had.
Commentators are bemused as to why he's been on the periphery this season.
Seemed to have a good game, almost got a goal, I was impressed with how he could hold up the ball surrounded by Man U players.
The way he moves with the ball is something else; it's like he hovers.

Hughton dismisses talk of Hoolahan and Pilkington moving in January.
Easy, Kid.
Villa have reportedly bid £1.5 million for Hoolahan: http://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/footba...ws-wes-2985369
Wes isn't in the squad for the game today.
http://www.edp24.co.uk/sport/norwich..._bid_1_3176703
Hoolahan reports an unspecified injury on eve of cup tie; Hughton denies any knowledge of alleged bid from Aston Villa.
£1.5m is hardly a kings ransom.
Given clubs often play their second string in club matches I saw his absence from the team as something rather positive
however if he is injured that's a different matter.
A move would see him more up in the league table, if a move will see him starting more games it's a good thing.

Lambert confirms interest in Hoolahan.
Oh I have just twigged )I'm slow!!) that if he played he would be cup tied, something which would reduce his transfer value,
so that seem to indicate he well make the move to Villa perhaps?
Clark injures another team
mate, puts Kozak out with a broken leg after a bad challenge in training.
It's a good thing you don't play in the Premier League Sean or you might be in danger too :)
Hoolahan might not play for Norwich again according to the Telegraph: http://www.telegraph.co.uk/sport/foo...r-request.html
Really poor form from Hoolahan if he's saying he'll never play for them again. He's close to legendary status at Norwich, being the only player along with Martin who was with them in League One, and moving to play for Lambert would be rub salt in the wound. I really hope he's not refusing to play.
