clonmel know they won't win the appeal. so whats the point in appealing they don't have a leg to stand on.
clonmels keeper is illegal as well he played with st,pats
every year there seems to be issue's with illegal ex loi players,i agree that pike are well within their rights to appeal,i just can't understand how clubs still make this mistake
Having listened to Tipp FM last night it would appear that Clonmel Town are resolved to fight this all the way!
on what grounds? what is going to be there reason/excuse?
anyone know when we'll know the outcome of clonmels appeal??
Rule 30 of the FAI rule book deals with appeals.
Clonmel had 4 days from the time they received notification of the MFA decision with regard to Pikes protest to Lodge their appeal.
The FAI has 14 days to hear this appeal
The determination is issued within 3 days of the appeal being heard.
Cost €500 (refunded if appeal is sucessfull)
Total 21 days
Any party affected by the FAI decision can then go to arbitration (Rule 31 of the FAI rulebook)
A request for arbitration must be made within 10 days from the date of receiving the FAI decision (above)
An arbitrator hears the case with 10 days of receipt of the request.
A determination is made with 5 days
Cost €5,000
Total 25 days
Overall it could take 46 days or by my reckoning until May 21/22/23 to resolve!

MJC Semi Final
Leeside FC v Ballynanty Rovers (3pm Midleton)
There is alot of talk about appeal s, Clonmel ,Pike etc...What about the other team s Lee Side,Maymount,Balla du they get a mention.Who going to be the first team in the final.Any prediction s.
Incorrect
Again incorrect Of course the players are gutted about this but as for not turning up for games??? You might want to quote sources other than the voices in your head.
Finally he gets one right:rolleyes: In a last ditch attempt to save their season Town have decided to make the players disappear by not including them on the teamsheet. Of course if you read the precedding report they are both mentioned in it: Must be a very slow news day in your part of the world:confused: You can go and put your big wodden spoon away now.
Who cares I think its quiet funny actually that he managed to make a pl****r out ya really!!!:D :D :D
bit sad that clonmel are still checking mjc site
obviously there sad. they were in last 3 mjc finals and name was written on it this year again. there best junior team in munster by a mile. pike probably bottle it yet anyway as usual and get beat in semi or final
christ hoops....its easily known why so many people don't like pike in the country, specially with you writin this bull, but then again it seems true what every junior team in the country says about u too the way ya carry on!!;)
balla 1 leeside 0
should be all limerick final so. fair play to balla for getting to final
Well done Balla
Well done balla. Hopefully we can join ye in the final.
I would like to say well done to Balla.I was at the game ,that was one of the best team performance s i have seen in a while.Lee side are a fine outfit but just could not break done Balla s back four. The ref deserve s a mention ,he was fair to both side s .Lets hope its an all limerick final. If so Jackman park should be where the game is played?????
would be a shame alrite to have to travel to turners cross if its an all limerick final.it would arguably be one of the best supported finals in a long time.balla always bring a great crowd and pike wouldnt be badly supported either.would be a great occasion for limerick soccer.still though,we might be all jumping the gun a small bit.still a semi to be played
Town are appealing this decision on the basis that the punishment does not fit the crime. The club made an honest and genuine mistake and were stunned at the severity of the sanction imposed. The MJC could have fined the club and ordered a replay and avoided all this nonsense. The club will examine its position after each step of the appeal process but has not ruled out taking it beyond the arbitration stage if a satisfactory resolution cannot be reached. If this fiasco does nothing else it may force the MJC to amend the ludicris rule whereby a returning EL player can compete in all competitions bar the provincial cup.
have you forgotten your player that didnt serve his suspension.
Its all well and good saying your going to arrbritation until they have their hand out for the 5K
