Yep from Raheen. Played underage with Limerick before joining UCD. I believe Limerick 19s got to some league final or something with him in the team.

Mahdy has been absolutely stink for a while now, attitude doesn't seem great but Tommy Barrett is the sort of manager who could revive him. You'd imagine he'll get plenty of minutes.
Dean George a huge loss to Treaty, not only his goalscoring but workrate and attitude.Mahdy an interesting addition ,loads of early career promise which has been on a steady decline.
Harps signed Conor Tourish and Success Edogun ….
Happy with Harps business today. Success is a big strong lad with a few goals in him. Tourish was our standout player in a brutal 2022 team and couldn't commit last year with family commitments. Great to have both on board.
Dundalk meant to be announcing at least 2, possibly 3 new players this week and possibly news on some contract extensions / 2024 players.
Kit / Sponsor launch also meant to be this week, so could be a busy period ahead.
Disappointed to see Edogun leaving, especially as Dean George is gone as well.
Still waiting for any indication that Treaty have more money to play with now that we have 'investors'.
Rob Cornwall is on the way back to Bohs according to the Indo, Dundalk and Waterford were interested too.
Enda Curran back at Treaty ,always good for goals in the First Division….
mccormack to dundalk a done deal?
No its still just rumour. Dundalk have gotten in to this announcing players as part of daily run in to Christmas, if weve actually managed to get any business done before christmas. Id like to think that players are signed and the info on it is zip, no leaks, to maximise the publicity, As with all rumours, and there are tonnes, until things get announced on Dundalkfc.com its not happening.
Cristian Magerusan from Longford rumoured to be going to us. Any use town fans?
He's a good player but has missed a lot of games through injury.
Jack Doherty signed for Cork City…
happy with that doherty signing. maguerson for sligo an interesting one. did he spend long on the treatment table this year for longford? any time i saw him he stood out, think hes excellent technically. those injuries seem like they are hard to shake off for him tho
Magerusan is a good player, but as mentioned above, really struggles with injuries. 39 appearances out of 70 league (and playoff) games between 2022 & 23 with us, only 21 of them when starting. Completed 90 mins only 8 times I think it is and was rarely (possibly never?) able to start 2 games in the space of 3 days on the odd occasion we had them.
In fairness, he had a better run of it in the second half of last season after missing most of the first half of the year, and finished up with 10 league goals which is a good return in a poor side. Definitely think with full time training and a consistent run of games he could be PD standard, but not one to be relying on to stay fit.
Garry Buckley signs for Galway
I'm happy enough with that signing. Also heard we're signing Hickey from Athlone, he's a centre back/def midfielder too. I'm still holding out for the Comers to officially takeover the club from the Co-Op and really splash the cash!
How do you mean, what type of player is he? I don't think I've seen him play
Dean OShea becomes the 3rd player to sign for us from Treaty. Any treaty fans anything to say about him as I know feck all about him except he was with Maynooth Town ,Galway Utd and Athlone town
I don't remember him at Galway Utd so that's probably not a good sign
Hickey a very good player in a bad Athlone Team. As for Dean O’Shea I don’t think he started for us and made about 1 subs appearance.
Murt Murphy dropping less-than-subtle hints this morning that Andy Spain of Treaty is set to join Kerry.
Liam Burt to Shels on loan followed by Darragh Burns on loan to Rovers in the works is the word from Dan McDonnell …..
Aaron Bolger signs for Pats. He won’t start but he’s probably a better backup option to Lennon than Timmermans was. More mobile and aggressive than him anyways
was great for us in 2022. as with every other player his performance dipped massively during 2023. would like to see him in a proper team with a semblance of balance in midfield. hes nippy over short distances but he struggles to cover ground IMO his height is definitely against him. again that might have been down to us being so open. was awful whenever he was put in a 2 man midfield but thankfully healy stopped using that after a few games in 2022. thought he was a banker to sign for shels.
id be more confident of this signing working for pats over the keating one.
Conor Kane back to Drogheda....
Athlone 2022
Squad: 24, Starting eleven: 14, Substituted in: 4, On the bench: 6, Suspended: 0, Injured: 0
Treaty United 2023
Squad: 25, Starting eleven: 19, Substituted in: 0, On the bench: 6, Suspended: 1, Injured: 0
Defensive reinforcements are badly needed after last season's terrible defending.
Certainly a good player.
Featured heavily enough last season until (I think our fourth last game of the season where) we played Athlone and he had a horror show and was pulled at HT, then was left on the bench for final three games. He seemed very disgruntled about it so I'm not too surprised he's leaving, but I could be reading into it too much.
Willie Armshaw back with Treaty
Gary Hunt is Cobh’s new manager ….
Kevin Williams re-signs for Kerry - and will probably be the club captain next season, having taken the armband on a few occasions last term.
We’re well in truly into the silly season now folks! Athlone have announced that they’ve signed Dylan Hand for 2024. The same Dylan Hand that Longford announced 2 days ago had signed a new contract with them for 2024 :D
Longford have now deleted their announcement tweet too
