I cant see Pike dropping that many points between now and the end of the season.
The league is between Pike and the Boro, and Jason O'Conner (if playing) along with Bubbles and Lou Quigley could do their old club (The Boro) a big favour this weekend by beating Pike.
his barred................:)Quote:

Boro Well Beaten By Mungret... Shocking Performance By All Accounts.......just Going On The Word From The Lads At The Match...missed Myself.... Super Win For Carew... Might Sneak In
Boro Have Dropped 5 Point To Mungret And Hill Celtic.....
dunno if they were well beaten.....story of missed opportunities by the Boro that cost them the game....on another day theyd have scored 6 in the second half alone....another result thatll haunt them in the run in. Well done to Carew...thats 2 losses in a row for Pike....on the slippery slope?
pike missed loads of chances should have won easily have no forwards 2put the ball away stewert had a great game in goals might cost pike in the long run

Top 3 all lost. Carew have alot to do to catch pike still. They were outplayed for long stretches of the game and weren't very impressive it has to be said against a pike team not playing well. Pike missed lots of chances yesterday but I think they will still win the league, but will need to get over the FAI loss quickly.

FAIRVIEW 0 CAREW PARK 2 ( mike carey, ger ned )
excellent win this for carew park who controled the game from start to finish and if im been honest it should of been alot more than two. carew played some excellent football considering the conditions were very poor. pikes lead is down to 8 points but carew have a game in hand maybe the league is not over yet carew are playing good football and not conceding goals. i must say fairviews pitch was in excellent condition very impressive considering the rain that fell.
as far as i know all other premier games were off
League is far from over, theres loads of points to play for yet. Pike still have it in their hands though.
Just read tere, that pike has new web site.Could someone tell me the web address.

League will be a lot clearer by Sunday evening, dont think Pike will pick up maximum points against Regional and Balla, but if they do, then they will surely have the league wrapped up.Quote:

don't agree with you there, I think balla will pull out all the stops to take points off pike on sunday. I think the same for regional tomorrow night. Most teams seem to raise their game against pike even when theres nothing to play for. Pike will have learned from last year though and have a far better squad this year which will stand to them during the mid week games.
thursday 6/4/06
regional 0 pike 1 ( 5 players sent off in this one 2 regional 3 pike )

any other scores lads??
whats the story with straight red cards is it a automatic ban in the next league game??
BORO 1 UL/AA 0
PIKE AND CAREW WON AS WELL
From what i heard Pike match must have been very tasty....
Any red card is a one match ban automatically.....
Excellent effort from boro lads in this one..... reduced to 10 men after about 25mins,(straight red) still created better chances... ul/aa very diappointing, giving ball to keeper who welly's it the length of the field is a strange tactic for a team that went so far in Fai....just a line to ul/aa....when a match is over, the simple act of shaking hands with the opposition can show what kind of people represent your club... i was told of one player who refused to shake any players hand after the match...grow up bud!!!!
was at the Pike game, the ref was a disgrace for both teams 5 sent off, 3 from Pike and 2 from Regional and there wasn't a bad tackle in the whole game!! a joke! how he had the neck to collect his "fee" after is beyond me
The game itself was poor, Pike play no football but they have perfected the 1-0, score and then all behind the ball and lump it up the field and chase after it, whatever works for you i suppose
Regional had alot possession but only creating half chances but they have a good young football playing team, their pitch does them no favours though!
Maybe Pike and Regional should swap pitches!!
I was also at the Pike game and in all fairness, I think Regional had one or two shots (both off target) in the the whole game.Quote:

I was at the Boro game last night. I cannot agree with you . I thought Boro were terrible. UL keeper made one save before the goal.Quote:
