I heard Long Ballfield was a fascist myself.
The lad looks a handy player when he comes on. I would've thought something like get him to sign up for the year but go out on loan for half the season to get some game time. Obviously it would appear John doesn't have him in his plans. Would expect him to do very well at limerick if he were to go there.
Do you think when Long Ballfield said he expected "fantastic things" from him this season that he meant sitting on the bench at cork or playing for Limerick??
Regardless of immediate plans it was madness not to tie him down as soon as he season ended. Get him on a deal and as you say loan him out.Quote:

I actually think he's one of the greediest players I've ever seen. A hell of a lot of talent though. Delighted to have him.
Don't know why he has left exactly, there are so many rumours flying around that its hard to know whats real.
It sounds like we weren't offering him a deal he felt was worth enough and it seems like maybe he and John have clashed. I don't know if either of those are true but they seem to the most common rumours. I'm gutted to lose him as hes such an exciting prospect but we'll survive without him. He'll probably play a lot more football with Limerick than he would with us so this might prove to be a sensible move for him. We'll never know of course because we have no way of knowing how his career would have gone with us.
Disappointing to lose a prospect though.
If Cork had offered him a contract matching his old one in time wouldn't they have been due a fee? Seems a bit mad to let him walk.
He would have to have been on pro forms for two seasons and he may not have been.
