Leeview 0 Valeview 2. Can't fault our performance. Great effort. We hit the bar a couple of times and had a few chances to go in front. The first team to score was always going to win this game. The opener came on 80 minutes. We pushed on to try get the equaliser and got caught on the break in injury time. Very proud of our club and everyone involved. Back to the bread & butter now. How'd the other cork guys get on?

You're always very quiet after a defeat goalsssss. Good result for tower, seem to be motoring again after a sticky period after Christmas. How was it oldlegs?Quote:

To be honest was a good game and ref did well too both sides well capable of playing football and both sides had their moments . Good game with both teams having some fine players and to be fair both teams are too good for div 3 with the players they have . Hopefully we can pick ourselfs up and move on . Coachford will have big say in league as well they doing very well so hopefully teams will start dropping points
Coachford will have no say at all really I would think. Absolutely nowhere near tower or innish, at the moment tower look like the league winners and innish 2nd but a long way to go. Either way both should go up. And I hope they do, both far too strong for division 3Quote:

To be fair to coachford they have the points on the board and are very effective at geting a result! Tower will catch them no bother, but they were always going to win this division with the team they have put together! Innishvilla can't afford anymore slip ups if they hope to catch coachford! And it's only one team assured of promtion from this section!
So a lot of good work could result in no reward for both Coachford and Innishvilla!

So I think aul will have to do an overhaul on the league and with such small numbers in div 3 it might make sense to make it 3 and 3a . But next season is a long way away . Macroom second team doing very well this season seen them twice this year already and again at the weekend down 1 0 early in the first half but stuck in there and got there result top of the league now if im not wrong i know it might sound strange but i think overall they are a better team then there 1st team due to certain players not getting on with managers and other people involved in the club! i expect them to be up there come the final game
The structure thats in place is ridiculous at the moment old legs so you're spot on, looking at teams entering the past few seasons and that should tell you something. A very strong Crescent team re-entered the league and were put into League 3 while an unknown team like cloughduv came from west cork and were put into league 2, that makes no sense to me at all. Crescent proved it by walking the league and winning a cup aswell along the way and cloughduv are struggling in league 2. Not having a dig at either club but surely common sense should have prevailed here in both cases from the powers that be.Quote:

Went to cloughduv vs ballincollig yesterday to watch ballincollig to see if they were real contenders for the league but was absolutely shocked they were hockied off the park yesterday from minute one to minute 90! If anyone from bcollig or cloughduv are on this im sure they would also say it could of hit double figures! Cloughduv played very well passing the ball scored some great goals striker got hat trick two centre mids got at least one each of not 2 one been chipping the keeper from outside the box! From what I watched it is crescents to lose and I don't think they will as they are a good footballing team!
Cloughduv looked very strong the day we played them. Surprised they're struggling a bit to be honest. We lost 3-1 to ballincollig a few weeks back granted we were missing half our team, but they're no where near crescent in terms of footballing. Crescent and Rathcoole look the two most impressive to me this season.Quote:

Pearse Celtic B 2 v 1 City Wanderers
Well for a division that we missed out on winning the league by 2points last season, we are struggling at the wrong end of the table. Lost a lot of players to immigration/college etc, but seem to have had no luck whatsoever aswell. But if stability back now again tho, tough run in same as teams around us. Tough league this year tho the standard has definitely improved on last year. Thought crescent looked good last week but left their guard down wen they thought the game was over and conceded 3 goals to us in 8 minutes. We've been tormented with injuries all season too, one fella comes back three fellas get injured. Playing with 15 years now and this is defo the most frustrating yet.Quote:

Far too early for anything to be in the bag. Knocka right there with glen, pearse right there with carig, carig a point behind with 2 games in hand so nothing sorted there, i still have a sneaky feeling innish could catch tower, hearing they are very strong. Lots of ball left to play there, 21 games in that division so anything could happen. I would think crescent do have their division almost secured though. Just my opinionQuote:

I was told tower only have a squad of 15 players left, a fair few derby games for them in that league too which are never easy regardless of who you are. They seem to be only scraping wins too and with them having to play innish twice I will put my neck out and say innish to nick it, tower very close 2nd. Coachford all heart no quality so they won't be there at all. Id like to see tower win it but just think they will get caught somewhereQuote:

Innishvilla would have to win every game from here to the finish just to have an outside chance! And that's disregarding Coachford whom are at the top and that all other teams will roll over to them which I doubt will happen! Tower easy winners for me!
