And there was around 150 at the Galway & DL First Division Cup Final last night. That's not even the top junior division. Plus, it was on a Wednesday. Had it been on the weekend, there would have been a fair few more. AND it was a fiver in, so they would have collected more on the gate than Salthill Devon. If Devon aren't paying any rent, which would hardly be a surprise, the Galway FA need to support local football somehow.Quote:

I don't know - there's at least a lapsed support to potentially come back. It was an encouraging start attendance wise, but it hasn't really kicked on. And to be honest I wouldn't be expecting a massive improvement until the final series to be honest - the summer months are the worst for attendances for us (well for the league in general, but rural clubs in particular). For all clubs in the first, the amount of travelling support can make a significant difference when your in and around the 300's. From what I could see there was 6 Wexford fans (although they didn't score so I could be doing a disservice), so that attendance was nearly all Longford. We won't be bringing too many to Waterford.Quote:
