Depends what he was sent off for? there is a chance the red card could have been rescinded by the referee after the game. Especially since it was at local level. If Tralee played him illegally it will cost them the game. I cannot see how a manager or secretary would take a chance on playing him.
A referee can't recind a red card after a game .. It's up to the fai to do that..
they ref could put it in as 2 yellows after the game if he likesQuote:

Tralee Dynamos keeper was sent off in previous round for a head butt on a Spa Road player. It was a straight red and not a second yellow. Tralee then played a league game a week later with out the keeper thinking he was suspended for that match and not for the next round of the FAI Junior cup against Shannonside. The keeper played in this game and as a result of an objection by Shannonside , Tralee have been thrown out of the competition and rightly so. A club who claim to be big should know the correct rules and if they don't then they should off made sure by asking someone .Quote:
