1-0 is alright for Bohs. If Bohs can score over there you'd imagine they should be ok.
Good result for boez, should wrap it up over there next week
Mervue 2 - 4 Cork City FT
Sligo 2 - 1 UCD FT
Best of luck to Bohs away!
Well done Bohs.
Good result.Important not to concede an away goal!
Well done Bohs.
Slim margin but at least it'll guard them against complacency.
good job bohs hope ye seal the deal in wales next week!
Well done Padraig Amond, keep banging them in my son!

As for Sporting Franchise, I hope they do the bestest of all. For I hold no grudges what so ever, Honest. Im even thinking of moving up to fingal and becoming there one fan. I cream myself everynight just think about it.
Fixed that for you
A win's a win - well done Bohs.
Though TNS play on a plastic pitch, which could give them a slight home advantage.
Still - I'd expect another Bohs win in 7 days.
What was the crowd like at Dalymount ?
Bohs will have to be disappointed with that to be honest. They were largely dominant but their finishing really let them down at times, and TNS defended quite doggedly too; the centre backs were quite good, I thought. Ignore the stats saying the Welsh had no shots on target; TNS were very dangerous on the break, really should have taken one of their chances and it's definitely all to play for in Wales. On last night's showing, better teams than TNS will cut through Bohs.
2600 or so looked about right for the gate; the Jodi was fairly full and the rest of the ground was empty (not that anyone would have wanted to be in the Connaught with the weather). Ticketing was a bit of a mess though; three turnstiles open, with one selling children's tickets only, so it was very slow getting into the ground. A steward then told people to head into the children-only turnstile five minutes from kick off cos they'd now give adult tickets as well, but the turnstile operator then said that was nonsense, which lost people their places in the other queue. A couple of minutes later, anyone with E20 exactly could pay cash at that stile, get no ticket and just head in.
Overall though, Bohs are still favourites to go through, but the tie's not over by any stretch, when it possibly should be.
Edit - oh yeah, and boo Amond! Did better than I was hoping out in Sligo given how many players we were missing; sounds like we were hammered first half, but kept in it and it's always galling to score in the 88th and lose in the 90th...
Enjoyable game last night.
Bohs made too many errors in defence - lucky not to be punished. Against that, they should have scored a few more themselves.
Should be edgy in Wales, but 1-0 without conceding an away goal is a good result.
ya maybe our sides need to realise that its over 2 legs. id expect bohs to score at least 1 away next week leaving TNS having to score 3 times to progress. seem bohs created a good few chances so if they put away 1 or 2 they should be ok.
Levski v Dundalk wont be on satellite TV. Just read it on sportal.bg.
It says something about Levski TV+ winning the rights battle. I don't know what this is, maybe an online service?
Good enough result for Bohs but I was disappointed with the performance. TNS were well organised but limited. Bohs seemed to be able to open them up
but misplaced too many passes and tried high balls into Madden and Cretaro.
Having said all that had Madden taken a quarter of his chances then it would have been tie over and a great result.
Bohs should go through comfortably enough and hopefully win the return leg which will help the national coefficient and probably Bohs in future years.
According to the Indo there's €550,000 in it for Bohs if they progress. Is it really that lucrative?
Yes but they actually get a lot of that anyway. Think they get approx 330,000 total if they lose to TNS and 550,000 total if they win and then lose in the next round of the CL and then lose in the next round of the EL.
This doesn't count home gates and other income.
According to the Bohs fans last night they are going all the way to Wembley which would presumably end all financial worries for a long time. .
"We're going to win the league", I thought?

we went ahead of Bosnia last night keeping our seeded team in the champions league qualifier & 2 teams in the 2nd qualifying round of the Europa league rather than 1 team.
But They could still jump ahead of us, or maybe even Finland.
Pat Fenlon gives BohsTV 1 his thoughts after the 1-0 victory over The New Saints, in the UEFA Champions League 2nd Qualifying Round, 1st leg at Dalymount.
He also looks ahead the second leg in a week’s time and previews the Airtricity League game vs. Sligo Rovers this Friday.

if you look at some of the countries were close to (Norway) in 25th place for example just shows how well we have done in the last few years. With the money in european competitions now we should be going all out to do well. Basically grab the money and run with it!!
while youre correct that the result probably looks poor on paper and that TNS had chances, i think its fair to say that TNS are a decent side, full time professionals, conceded 13 goals last season and have a couple of current and former internationals in their ranks. They are no mugs and i had said prior to the game that i would have taken a 1-0 win if offered it. It is a good result - we are leading and have conceded no away goals. In fact there aren't too many mugs in Europe anymore comparitively speaking. For example, Litex only beat Rudar at home 1-0 and similarly AIK only beat Jeunesse Esch of Luxembourg by the same score. Most Bohs fans would have wanted Jeunesse d'Esch after TNS or Linfield. You would, on paper, have expected Litex and AIK to win those ties more comfortably too im sure.
Overall, I am happy enough with the result but its a pity we couldnt have made next week more of a formality.
Anyway, this will all be a distant memory when we're walking out at Wembley next Spring. ;)
