Hmm, wonder who he could mean then?

It was and it was spot on by Sir Niall!
At least Ricky was a man and went face to face with Quinn to hand in his notice unlike the moron from Mayfield did. The coward got Michael Kennedy to fax it in for him.
Ricky was man enough to step up to plate and take on the challenge and stuck in there thru thick and thin unlike the Great Keano and when realise he wasn't up to the job he walked away and said get someone who take us forward. Unlike Keane would decided to blame everyone but himself.
article in the Guardian on Gerard Pique today gives another insight into Keane .. had to laugh ...
"On one occasion, Piqué's mobile started vibrating in the dressing room. Keane went ballistic, ripping clothes from their pegs, rummaging in pockets, screaming that he would kill the man responsible. Luckily, it rang off before Keane reached Piqué's trousers. A relieved man, he told friends he had never felt closer to death."
What about Keane's comments about Sunderland? And for having a brass neck to say he'll us if we stay up?
It just sticks in peoples stomachs that Roy Keane was proven to be a fraud and a coward. He couldn't handle the heat so he ran.
He had one of the best jobs in English football and he messed it up.
Time obviously has given Niall a proper perspective on past events at his club.
Didn't Keane bring Sbragia in as his nr 2?
He must have forgotten that your nr. 2 should be somebody competent but not actually better than you at the job.
Sunderland didn't start well in the league, it was their mid season form apres Roy, which garnered them the safety points.
Goes to prove that Roy was part of the problem but with their late season form other fundamental issues come to the fore - like the squad that Roy built.
Makes a mockery of the all-conquering Premier League. 5 teams would have gone down this year if there was any justice. At least WBA tried to do something! The others should be embarassed. Pathetic.
Gabriele Marcoti had a good article in The Times today saying how good the Bundesliga is. The best teams aren't as good as the best EPL teams but the gap between top & bottom is smaller, the crowds are bigger (avg 50k), there are more goals per game (2.03 I think) and the season goes down to the wire with more than 2 teams competing for the title, and usually different teams.
You're out of luck so, Setanta show the extensive highlights package, don't think anyone takes live games though....
German league is best run in Europe but ironically suffers in the Champions league as a result. All based around the fans experience, safe terracing, cheap tickets, live football on terrestrial tv, everything that the Premiership isn't.
ive always wanted to hear EGs views on the roy keane saipan affair, for once i reckon he would have 50 percent on his side as oppossed to 100% against him :D
You're optimistic, true to type he would be incapable of expressing his opinion without mentioning Mick's Englishness and Roy's choice of pre match ballads.
So he would manage to wind up everybody.
In the Bundesliga, it's only one match at the start of the season and one match after the winter break that's shown live on terrestrial television. The rest are live only on the Premiere pay channels.
The said, Premiere's coverage urinates all over Sky Sports. Every single match in the top two divisions available live. Plus a "Konference" channel that cuts from game to game showing the goals immediately after they've been scored. I loved it went I briefly had Premiere on my not-strictly-legal satellite.
Anyways, back to the main topic. I understand Keano was on the Late Late recently? What did he say?
Found thid on the net. Funniest thing you'll read:p

Very very said individual who wrote that to be honest.
Doesn't it work the other way as well that it's sad to hero worship and write paeons of praise for someone who does not even know you exist? A lot of life is about love and hate and it doesn't make the individual sad. Should we not write articles condemning actions by individuals just because they don't know us? In which case a lot of people would have had an easy ride in life.
Exactly, did you see the Lawrenson and Cascarino entries?! It's not fall off your chair funny but it's humourous enough.
Gets my goat the way that anything taking the p1ss out of RK is seized upon as heresy by his disciples (apologies Neil if you don't consider yourself amongst that number). This whole handwringing 'how dare they' attitude , it's good to take the mick out of sacred cows once in a while.
Anyway, enough bible analogies for now.....
I think the ones about all the players are pretty sad to me. I said before the pro and anti Keane brigade at the exrtremes are as bad as each other. Shower of gob****es the lot of them in my view.
You mean you regard that wiki spoof as a serious piece of work?
Well done the mighty Finn Harps! :D
Saw this quote from Keane .. seems to me that he is still hurting that he never played in the 2002 World Cup
"Keane expects things to be different in South Africa next summer if manager Trapattoni can steer the Republic to a runners-up spot in their group with wins over Italy or Montenegro and then reach South Africa via the play-offs in November.
Keane said: 'Fingers crossed, they will get there, but once they qualify it will depend on their mentality.
'If they go there with the same lacklustre attitude the last time they were in the World Cup - cutting corners on hotels and travel - then obviously they won't do that well.
'But if they have the right mentality - like you would hope their experienced manager's got - and they say, "We're going over there to do as well as we can", then why not? You would expect them to have a training pitch that's at least been watered and without any potholes and I wouldn't have thought they would be getting four connection flights.
'I don't think he will be accusing his players of faking injury a week before the World Cup, either - but that's just my guess.'

Keane on Adebayor's celebration.
"I don't think I'll ever have to worry about that as my strikers don't look like they will ever score"
Way to go to build up confidence Roy. Gone by Christmas. The Mach 3 is firmly locked away.
Sure hasn't he mellowed in his old age.
Lol.
