Think there might be a slight mistake in our figure...
Yeah, I meant capacity in brackets, so 1,100 max in stand, 1,500 max in shed + 100 elsewhere + up to 400 away = 3,100 as my estimate but this is a top figure, wont be far off 3,000 either way.
It was hard to get a proper look as it was such a bad evening, dfc should have figs out today ?
Thx for doing week 5 Stu
sligo crowd v bray was around 800
Pats v Derry was 2,0XX (forget the exact number - around the 60 mark)
Pretty good for the day that was in it (CL and torrnetial rain)
Be surprised if half come back after that performance
This is true. We felt like members of Scott's exploration team as we left the nice warm pub, with it's big screens and bigger sounds ("It's...Manchester United...versus Porto...and it's coming up...live...! <dramatic orchestral music>") and walked outside into the dusk, the wind and the rain; our red and white scarves flapping behind us like flares sent up for aid. As we passed a group of Arsenal-clad smokers huddled together in the porch I was tempted to remark, "We may be some time."
Official attendance for Dundalk v S Rovers was 2200
And some people complain when I take the lowest estimate given!
Yep, I was totally out on this one, i put my hand up, fair point.
Disappointing crowd alright - hopefully it's back up for the Cork game next week (although our result this afternoon might have an influence on that).
1,229 at Shels-UCD.
Kildare County V Mervue around 156
713 official attendance at Wexford Youths v Limerick
good crowd in bray yesterday, about 1300 for a sh!t kick off time of 4pm, sure half of bray was probably still in work at that time, it was not even a public holiday and they played it early, absolute joke! Decent dundalk crowd about 500-600.
580 official attendance in Finn Park tonight against Waterford.
extra time has it at 498 http://www.extratime.ie/fixtures/detail/11342/2/
are attenedences up this year?
Over 3,000 at our Cork game. Wasn't full capacity even though it sold out days before (I'd say at least 300-400 season ticket holders didnt turn up looking at pictures of the stand while taking into account the overcrowding at the Ultras sections... Is a shame as people are missing out - working on setting up a season ticket text service to see who's not coming so we can sell their seats.
PS BohSoGood: Irish Media? What are you talking about? Look up the effects of the term global warming before offering your uneducated opinion; ditching the opinions of 95% of the worlds Climatic Scientists... (It doesn't necessarily equate directly to warmer weather, I study it in college)
This was covered in a memorable thread in Current Affairs about a year ago.
EDIT - http://foot.ie/forums/showthread.php?t=82349
Boh_so_good, in reference to your signature, 1998 was an El Nino year, 2008 was a La Nina year. Therefore it was expected than 2008 would be colder.
Can we take the climate discussion to another thread?
Counted about 180 at the Kildare-Mervue game 10 minutes into the match
