I enjoyed that. Decent thriller.

Went to see Public Enemies last night and I really enjoyed it. Thought the story moved along at a nice pace and that it was well cast and well shot
I watched Street Fighter on Sci Fi the other night, pure genius, Van Damme as Guile, Kylie as Sonya Blade, Gomes Adams as M. Bison (his last film before he died I think), loved it :D
Gary the Tennis Coach with Stiffler from American Pie, abosolutey hilarious
Has anybody seem S.Darko? I loved Donnie Darko but have a strong feeling this will be rubbish.
Definitely want to see Public Enemies before it leaves the cinema.
Atonement and August Rush are amongst the worst I've seen recently/ever. Eagle Eye was crap too.
big fan of Donnie Darko too. We have S. Darko on freeview and i havent watched it for much the same reasons as you. Went so far as to watch the trailer and it looked bearable but i still cant help but feel that they are just milking the success of Donnie Darko for the sake of it...
im going to continue to avoid this one i think....
Atonement wasn't great but it was worth it for that tracking shot of the Dunkirk evacuations alone, one of the best shots in cinema history in my book
If only Keira Knightley could act, and ate a hamburger every now and again, it could have been alright
Here for those of you who want to watch it

Thought Atonemore was very good when I saw it, as jebus mentioned the Dunkirk shot is a real highlight, although I didn't turn my nose up at a wet Keira Knightley either. :)
August Rush is one of the worst films I've ever seen. Utter crap. What's the point of Jonathan Rees Myers?
Saw the box for S. darko and was quite excited really enjoyed donnie Darko but i read the back and the actors are some guy from 1 tree hill, 1 guy from step up 2 the street and some other guy of similar "MTV generation actors" and put the box back down.
Saw Public enemies very dissapointing first 45 mins could be cut some really poor writting, then a great bit in the middle followed by a draw out poorly shot ending.
Its shot really close up in a lot of parts so you end up with a cinema screen ( thats not that clear anyway ) being half full of a head and the other half being out of focus which is really difficult to watch. ( i was right in the middle of the cinema ) and makes it pretty hard to see whats going on. It may look better on a TV screen but its another to avoid really.
Just when I thought I couldnt pick out a worse DVD than whatever sh!te I got
last time, I went and outdone myself yesterday with "Flashbacks Of A Fool"
I felt mighty foolish when I had a flahback of picking it off the shelf in XtraVision
On a scale of 1 to 10 ... it was terrible!
Wastched Bronson today.
It was actually really good, although the whole film is heavily reliant on Tom Hardy's performance.
Saw this recently and its a film thats hard to review for some reason.
Looks very good which you would expect from Michael Mann and Depp is good-while some of the Tough guys in smaller parts are convincing.
The first 45 minutes were missing something though. Script could have been better and I wasn't convinced I was watching the 1930s.
Def worth a look though.
Saw Role Models and The Spirit. Role Models was funny enough in parts, not a classic but watchable. The Spirit was just brutal and even the presence of Eva Mendes and Scarlett Johansson couldn't save it.
Did look like a bit of craic actually, "My liege..". The only film I've seen "McLovin" in outside of Superbad. Really against type!
The Hangover - Not as funny as it was made out to be tbh.
Pictures at the end are quality though.
watched taken on dvd last night. great film. liam neeson was excellent.
now who would win a fight between his character, james bond and jason bourne?
Going to see Bruno tonight, hoping it's as funny as the trailer suggests.
+1 for bourne, neeson would beat bond, all of them:D,
just saw one week, a canadian film with joshua jackson in it, basic plot guy finds out he has cancer, buys a bike, and drives across canada, id give it an 8/10, would probably be one to watch with the other half,
Sounds interesting. I like Joshua Jackson anyway.
Saw Zack & Miri Make A Porno last night. Absolute rubbish. Thought it might be ok cos I've liked most of Seth Rogen's films so far eg. Pineapple Express, 40 Year Old Virgin, Knocked Up and Superbad.
The movie on RTE last night looked good, if a bit cheesy. Trust The Man it was called, funny enough.
Bourne would just about take Mills (Neeson) (youth over experience), but then find that no matter how many rounds he fired at Bond, he couldn't seem to hit him. As a significant character, Bond wouldn't be able to shoot him either before being disarmed. The inevitable fist fight would end with an appalling pun when a giant anvil fell on Bourne. However, the entirely match would be declared a draw as Bond finally succumbs to an STD.
i thought zack and miri had its moment (constapation:D), seth rogen is just making to many films,
if you didnt like that, i would deffinately not recomend observe and report, utter garbage id give it a 2 out of 10, one is for having actors, and the other for some how getting approval for making it,
Revolutionary Road. Her pick. Surprisingly good. DiCaprio and Winslett both excellent.
Went to see Bruno last night and it was a bit of a let down. Borat was definitely a lot funnier, Bruno just seems to be trying too hard, most of the situations are very contrived and don't have the same level of realism. It still had some funny moments but it felt like they struggled to get the 80 minutes worth of gags. It's a 3/5 for me.
Watched Speed Racer last night.
Like taking various hallucinogens and staring through a kaleidoscope for 2+ hours. Enjoyable though.
2 suggestions
Boy A - a guy is released from prison in his early 20's have been inside for killing a kirl with a mate when he was a kid himself (think Jamie Bulger) it's about his attempts to re-integrate to society under an assumed identity, very good.
Love in the time of Cholera - Film adaptation of Gabriel Garcia Marquez's classic novel, I'm not normally one for period films but this is a great story and I thought the movie held it up pretty well, pretty long at 2 hours 20 but worthwhile.
Just back from Bruno i havent laughed so much in a long time its brilliant if you like that kind of thing if you didnt like Borat you wont like this.
I dont know how he doesnt get a few slaps doing this stuff but the weirdest of the lot is the parents trying to get their babies into the photo shoot. The scary thing is i belive there are worse parents out there.
according to this article on movies.ie - http://www.movies.ie/features/Bruno_...Scenes_Secrets - far from it

Went to see Bruno last night. Its offensive in ways, impossible not to laugh at it tough. Going to do my best not to spoil this bit for those who have not seen it,Never heard such a laugh when "It" shouted Bruno :D, those of you who seen will know what I mean.
