No sign of a review on Bolton's site, if anyone finds one, can they post it here?
leicester v preston 0-1
Logan and Maybury both played for the home side with the latter getting booked but doing ok and Logan having a decent 90, he didnt have any real outstanding save to make but was solid enough in his kicking and his handling held up when called upon.
St.Ledger played for preston and was impressive throughout, solid with good positioning and provided the moment which seperated the sides in a tight game when he took a pass near halfway and played a good one-two and moved into space on the edge of the leicester area, got it back and hit a good shot against the post, the rebound fell to his teammate who hit the only goal from it.
throughout the second half leicester pushed and pinned the visitors back but St.Ledger and his colleagues held on for the one-nil.

Michael Daly, Ian Daly and Donal McDermott all played the full 90 minutes for Man City's Pontin's league side in a 1-0 loss to an experienced Bury side. Garry Breen came on late in the second half. From the Man City review, it seems McDermott had their best opportunity

No Bury review yet, I'll post it when it's available
Karl Moore was a second half sub for Man City's reserve side in a 1-0 loss to their Bolton counterparts.

Can't find any review of the game on the Man Utd site.
Owen Garvan made his long-awaited comeback as a 60th minute substitute yesterday against Barnsley. Shane Supple could only make the bench.
Liverpool are lining up a £1.6m swoop for Ipswich striker Billy Clarke. (News of the World)
What about the Lafferty lad that got MOM for Celtic youths or does he qualify to play for NI>
Yep, plays for the North: http://www.irishfa.com/squad-profile...niel-lafferty/

Think I've got all the strikers here, ignoring the likes of Barnes and Beardsley who could play up front as well as their recognised midfield position
The only real successes there I reckon are Rush, Saunders, Collymore (he was a decent striker at least for a short while). Crouch is doing ok at the moment, even if he hasn't played that much, he is still recognised as a regular goal scorer when he does playQuote:

£45 Million pounds and Litmanen and Anelka's wages and that produced sod all. Not sure Billy would be likely to buck the trend.
Morientes is back scoring in Spain now.
Litmanen was wasted, spent most of his time on the bench. Still managed to get 5 goals in 12 starts - http://www.soccerbase.com/players_de...?playerid=4549
Anyway, back on topic - Les Reed reckons Andy Reid is the new Puskas! Or as he put it here: http://sport.independent.co.uk/footb...cle2018702.ece
Quote:
Puskas might have been the original Andy Reid
