Just a question, can VP be "head coach" if he hasnt all his badges. Just the wording of it for Uefa, etc.

They'd hardly be that pedantic!? As long as there is a 'senior' coach/DoF with a pro licence I doubt the actual title matters, even manager would probably be allowed. 1st team coach is ambiguous enough if the powers that be are overly fussy. Not so long ago he could be also be head barman at a club for a few extra quid and never pull a pint...maybe the FAI did improve a few things after all!
The first team manager/head coach has to have a pro licence so thats the job Gill will have to be given. Maybe its possible to appoint both of them as mangers though.
It’s looking like Dundalk have met the conditions the FAI wanted in terms of getting the mgt team in place.
Perth will be announced before xmas, with Higgins as assistant mgr, and Gill coming in as coach.
For me it's a no brainer(VP's ordination). The current squad seem to be behind his appointment(the fans also).Well worth a good punt imo.No point in unsettling a double winning squad by bringing in a marquee manger who hasn't a clue about the LOI.
Who would you suggest your good self?
Loving the jokes.Stan Staunton has to get an honourable mention also here and Jim Corr was another.Although we would consider his 3 sisters!!
What's gills role in the club, apart from calming perth down when he loses his rag?
Major shock announcement today.
Vinny Perth unexpectedly announced as Dundalk manager in a huge bit of news. In even bigger news, John Gill has been confirmed alongside Ruaidhiri Higgins as his backroom team.
Delighted for gill.He was ridden by Mathews in 2008 after getting Dundalk promoted twice.Mind you, that wasn't the only riding matthews was doing back then :p

Fudgtastic. Good old FAI. Derry must be ****ed!
Be interesting to see how Perth does. Obviously he's been a huge part of the success, and he's got the players sorted, so what the difference is will be a good insight into Kenny too.
