So ends the CL adventure for Celtic, they went further that certainly I thought they would. A good result, beyond expectations, would have been to finish 3rd in their group, to finish second was exceptional. Some good performances along the way, the away win against Spartak was special after a good home draw against Benfica, to put them into the qual ballpark.
Then the 125th anniversary game against Barca followed by the pressure last game, a shaky home win against Spartak.
Not as solid as Strachan's team in the last 16, but no great dishonour to go out to this Juventus team.
Not bad for a team who ply their trade against teams, supposedly < LOI standard (thats for you Charlie :)).
The way back into the CL next season, shouldn't be any more difficult than it was this season, seeing as Celtic will be in the league champions section.
I thought the Nani foul was a red card but there is no way the rafael arm block would be a red/penalty.
What about the Madrid goalkeeper punching a United player straight in the head (was it Vidic?) when going for the ball? Dangerous play but goalkeepers tend to get away with stuff like that.
If you have the opinion that the Nani foul was a red card, then the Gibson high kick would be a dead certainty. I see the FA appeals panel revoked the red card given to Gibson.
Imo, that gives a bad message to refs, regardless of whether there's doubt in the video replays. The ref was right there and was best placed, his decision should have been supported by the FA.
I guess UEFA will have no such qualms about supporting the ref in the Nani decision.
The main question here, was it a penalty?Quote:

I give up, Messi. Just do whatever you want.
The real Special One.
I see Fuentes made it back to the Nou Camp for the second leg... :O
Can't believe Niang's miss. Still, if Milan score they will be in with a very good shout.
Schalke have fouled up at home. They now need to beat Galatasaraay outright, from 2-1 down.
And that goes a good way to proving my point! 3-0.
I think Milan's body language suggested they already knew they were out. Barcelona are just schooling them.
And 4-0. Just when it had been looking like AC might sneak the goal they needed.
Been a quality game.
Messi bottled the hat trick :)
Brilliant game, Barca redefine, 'that's what the CL is all about'.
I thought Barcelona would give it everything but I really didn't expect this. Milan didn't even play badly, Barcelona basically just turned up and said to them "look, thanks for coming but there was really no need."
Go go gadget Galatasaray, 3-2 win at the end will do nicely for their co-efficient.
Either the the ITV pundits are a stand-up crew or someone has stolen their stools.
The arcing camera angle only heightens the ridiculousness of the situation. Roy's choice of shoes is outrageous.
I didn't enjoy it that much if I'm honest. Not at all my cup of tea to watch a team schooled when I don't trust the team doing the schooling.
It was TOO good from Barca. The sort of good that's starting to make me think that there's more to La Masia than excellent coaches.
