That sounds as sour as you are claiming Pike to be. Now I'm far from a Pike fan, I've often criticised them on this site but there are a number of questions to be answered here.

Pike would have arrived at the venue at the very latest at 6pm. What time was the floodlight fault spotted? Surely this should have been spotted much earlier in the day?

Someone said the first Pike red card was for throwing the ball at a player?? If that is true then the referee has a case to answer. Other decisions/red cards during play I won't comment on. Decisions like that are always argued between people even when clear cut.

Have Middleton made any comment, officially, regarding the alleged abuse? If it is untrue then the player in question should be facing a ban. If it is true then I hope the book is thrown at both player and club and they are made a severe example of.

The talk about how the game went reminds me of Corbally U-17's a few years ago when they went down to Maymount and got absolutely screwed by the referee. If I remember correctly the Corbally keeper was punched by a supporter when they invaded the field with Corbally leading. Referee refused to call off the game, Maymount won and Corbally's complaints fell on deaf ears when the club should have been thrown out...... I know it has nothing to do with the above, I'm just saying what it reminds me of!

Was at it lights were working perfect,up until five mins before game,all I no is club rang a engineer to solve problem,turned out full gauge stuck at half full,which was nearly empty,not much ya can do to avoid that!

Not going to argue about it anymore,it did happen and the player that was abused is not a liar believe you me,he was having a mare?how many balls did he put across yere box the time he was on the field,and ye say pike were puffing after 20 mins,they could and should have been 3 up before ht.even with the 10 men they still should have won.now ill leave it at that,

Right lads, don't know if some of ye who are commenting were at the match or not but a lot of bull**** has been mentioned. Was down there watching as a neutral. With the floodlight situation, if that happened in Turners Cross or Jackman Park nothing would be said. Lights were out for about 45mins. You get on with it, things like this happen. With the Pike peno, can honestly say it was no way a peno. I was standing directly behind the goals. For the racist remark, was too far away from the incident so can't comment on that... I think the Pike player who was sent off at half time was probably the best player on the pitch in the 1st half. Pike should of been out the gate at half time. Midleton didn't turn up until the last 20mins and don't think they deserved to win the match to be honest. If midleton turn out a performance like that next weekend I can honestly say Ballymun could send down there youth team and still be out the gate at half time....

I was at the game and I can safely say that a racist remark was said by the Middleton player regardless of how the match finished up the pike did not have any luck during the night where it be around the lights going out or bad officials the matter in question is more serious, that a player who my opinion was having a good game and well on top was racially abused. There was about 20 witnesses to the comment as it happened on the sideline and if Middleton can say this did not happen says a lot for Middleton fc as a club and community. And for Middleton supporters to make judgement on pike supports I will say don't throw stones in glass houses. You should have a good look at one of your own players. Kick racism out......

I would love to know how ye have 20 witnesses to this so-called racist slur! I was positioned between the two dugouts when the "incident" happened. I was watching and attempting to hear what was being said but couldn't. Yet there are 20 Pike supporters who are witnesses, yet all pike supporters where in the covered stand in the first half which is a another 30 yards away from where i was standing so about 40 yards from where the incident happened. Brilliant stuff lads, ye have a solid case! Be proud

All pike supporters were not in the covered stand by the way,most of them were down by the dugouts,i think now this has got enough airplay,and let both clubs deal with it whatever way they want to.

When I say 20 witnesses that includes players, pike dugout and Middleton dug out and a linesman who turned a blind eye

Firstly, its Midleton, with one d, not 2. And no, all pike supporters where in the covered stand, because I knew every single person who was between me and the incident. Stop lying. How is it that even though there where so many witnesses, there was no reaction from anyone, and I mean anyone. Not even the Pike player thought to mention there was a racist remark until well after he had been sent off. Thats when everyone amazingly heard it too.Very convenient altogether. He knew he did something absolutely ridiculous to get sent off and is just trying to justify it. Oh he doesn't lie, he wouldn't lie, my arse, everyone lies. And Booster 03, id love if yer first team could play our first team, but wait, we are a senior club so that can't happen. Pity. And "da general", you can safely say there was a racist remark, how? did you hear it? No because no-one did, why??because it never happened. After the incident, I heard that yer player had been called many different racist slurs from pike fans. But none of them the same, strange that isn't it. Why are Pike rovers fans insisting on embarrassing themselves by making up stories, many stories, to try and explain why they lost a match that they should have won. Pike are blue in the face from going down there and knocking out yere so called senior teams by the way,and yere LOI team too for that matter,remember avondale last year who went on to win the fai intermediate,st marys,to name but a few,so dont give me that bull about yere senior team,if ye honestly think that ye were the better side last saturday yeve a lot to learn about football,ye struggled to beat 10 and then 9 men,and for that codswallop that was reported on website that the pike player lashed out,haha,he threw the ball at him that was it,after he abused him and for yere information it was said immediatley after the incident in the dressing room,and the pike backroom went to speak to the officials and were told go away,wasnt surprising really after their performance,

ah hotspur i was only having a bit of banter with bluey, ya saw that tackle could easily of been a red! was very lucky as usually refs try to even up decisions like that! all jokes aside its getting a bit ponderous this whole ''my dad is bigger than your's'' re-posting to each other hope both teams can move on and get back to playing soccer! was talking to one of your'e lot saturday night and find it very harsh that ye can't get promoted because your'e first team are in the division above ye! are ye always there or there abouts with going up? must be a pain in the ass if that is the case, how do the players feel about that? i assume that you cant go up and down between A & B teams or am i wrong?

B players can turn out for the A team,but A players cannot play B football,ya its a pity they cant go up but thats the way it goes,and republican all the ex loi players are all regraded junior players,and most of their starting 11 have not played loi for your info.and so what if they played loi,what do you want people to do after loi just pack in football,a lot of clubs in limerick have ex loi players because there just happens to be a loi team in the city along with a lot of junior clubs around the country who have loi teams in their city/county,so that statement doesnt wash,and most if not all loi players started out playing junior football,so if it doesnt work out at loi for various reasons they return to junior football,so why have you a problem with that,jealousy comes to mind,looks like ye'll only have 1 team left after sunday in the big 1,celtic
