Cahill is back :D Should play some part in the derby considering how bad we have been in central midfield this season but it still might be just too soon.
Tommy G is ok again after having fluid drained from his knee but wont be ready for sat .
Vaughan should be back to full training next week and AJ' op went well and he should be back in 2 weeks .
Its been a slog but the injury crisis might be nearing an end :D
These 4 players could turn our season around ........but unfortunately i don't see any of them playing a significant part tomorrow. I'd love cahill to play but after 3 serious injuries in the space of a year, we have to be careful. As much as I'd love to see him playing tomorrow and getting his usual derby goal, it's more important to have him for the rest of the season. Could maybe play the last 20 minutes or so.Quote:

I'd really love Arteta to leave his mark on a derby but if we are to have a match winner, it could be McFadden if his trip to Georgia hasn't taken too much out of him.
At least Carsley will be fresh he hasnt played in ages but along side neville they offer us nothing going foward Neville being the only player with a negative goal difference !!( 2 own goals 1 goal scored ). Think we need lescott on the pitch over stubbs ,Baines i think has to start Hibbert being the only person on the pitch from the city should be up for it.
Its time for Yakubu to pull up his socks and get moving but we need to get the ball in front of him no point giving him the ball with his back to goal he isnt quick enough to turn and do anything with it .

Liverpool were fortunate to get the win today considering the late call for a penalty by Everton today...and i can't understand why rafa took steve g off at a crucial part of the game..but deserved the win...
Liverpool got very, very lucky today. The first penalty could have gone either way. Everton had two legitimate penalty claims especially at the end when Carragher clearly pulled down Lescott. The most blatent non-call I've seen in a long time.
Was working earlier and only seen highlights on MOTD and must admit we were fortunate to get a result..it looked as though stevie g did get ref to change cards from yellow to red for 1st sending off..thought kuyt even deserved red for that lunge he done..fair play to him on the pressure pen though..was good save by neville that time too.
We were lucky?? We scored all 3 goals, ffs. :rolleyes:
Ref was right with the 2 pen decisions, 2 red cards, (handball and a pro foul) only booking Kuyt, and not giving the Toffees their penalty claim. They seem to forget that there's no guarantee they'd score it, especially with Reina in goal, who saved his last penalty in the league. :rolleyes::D
how can u compare everton to Liverpool...a European cup win, f.a. cup win and European final again last year. get a grip everton are no closer to Liverpool than cork city for f..k sake

Missed the game due to my own but going on the highlights I didn't feel Everton threatened too much. A "lucky" win maybe in the sense that a penalty should have been given at the end but overall I felt Liverpool controlled the tempo.
1. when it was 11 v 11, everton were the better side without actually playing that well and in lescott, they had the best player on the pitch by some distance. By the rules he had to go being last man and all but by the rules Kuyts had to go too for doing a two footed lunge which is also a straight red if neville hadnt jumped he could have broken his leg.
I didnt feel the first tackle on lescott was a peno but since he gave an even softer one to liverpool he should have given it .but the one in the last second was beyond the joke Lescott was dragged to the ground .
I felt a draw would have been fair but i was amazed at rafa coming out after the game and accusing lescott of diving :eek:. That man really is pathetic
still have to move on 4 games in 11 days now at least the red cards will force moyes to play the team the fans have wanted for the next 3 games jags at right back and no neville near the pitch

Thought all the decisions by the ref were correct apart from evertons last second penalty claim. Should have been a penalty.
Carra got away with it, I suppose the saying that decisions even themselves out over a season is true after the chelsea penalty decision at Anfield and who better than the blue noses to even that out against eh :D

Erm, I presume you are talking about 2005 when we won the European cup for the 5th time (you get to keep it when you win it 5 times, just in case you didnt know that).
