That was Gary Breen, according to his contemporaries...

You mean 'stooping'? Just let's say GR's position is, er, 'contradictory'. Extremely.
As for McClean's letter, it's out there now with all his other views, end of story. He's never going to please everyone...
And is going to be tediously repeated every year 'ad nauseum'.
True, but not that difficult to ignore the overkill tbf. Plus the usual double standards, hypocrisy etc.
I haven't been on the site much for the past week or so and missed the poppy discussion as a result. Nevertheless I did enjoy reading the various views expressed on the subject, but, as Tets suggested, perhaps it is best placed in the Current Affairs section.

Good article.
That is a good piece. Well worth the read. Kudos to Sweeney.

Impressive how he's been at their club two years and they still can't spell his name properly.
I heard, Danny, that they only cater for posts up to the length of War and Peace. You'll just have to be more concise!;)

I would agree with pretty much all of that, he has more of the attributes of a centre forward than a winger, he is the
sort of player who can put himself about a bit, quick to react and robust, I can see him causing problems for opposition defence
playing up front.
