Who is he referring to then?
I think we've reached an impasse here. Or should that be expasse?
Out of favour Anthony Pilkington is out of favour at Norwich.
Something something Richard Keogh.
And so what if he did? Ireland has treated his peers and ONeill with contempt with his attitude. It's no harm if a respected pro lets off a bit of steam.
Do you really think his reticence about coming back has anything to do with a bloke's opinions, a bloke not even in the squad anymore? Or is his reticence about coming back more to do with a narcissistic disregard for playing football for his country, a disregard for its fans and a disregard for those who turn up year in, year out?
SI's reticence? Give over.
This is a player who has the grand total of 6 appearances for his national team. SIX! I mean, Roy Keane's return under Kerr was handled with less fanfare and he is the greatest player we have ever produced. Or is McGrath? Hmmmmmmmm. Anyway, SI has no stock to sell here.
The door has been opened on numerous occasions for him since the nastiness in SEPTEMBER 2007 and he has yet to do the decent thing and either retire or get called up. It has gone on far too long and I wish that MON would kill this stone dead once on for all.
The most recent example of this was during this international window.
SI is an asshat. (http://www.rte.ie/sport/soccer/irish...reland-return/)
Your criticism of Keith Andrews here is way out of order.
How you can champion SI and berate Robbie for "scoring against minnows" is actually mental. Mypost kinda mental.
Ah yes, Anthony Pilkington. I couldn't remember the player earlier when I made my initial post when I was trying to engage in some smart assery.
Exasperation more like.
There is no place for your lucidity here. Away with you.
In all fairness, if Keith Andrews is having a go at SI (and I think there's no reason why he shouldn't, unless SI is essentially a 3-year-old in a man's body) I think he's perfectly entitled to say: "Everyone's falling over themselves about a guy who can't even pick up a phone, but I'm still here, I'm still in good form and I'll never turn down the call."

Captain material Andrews wanted by Huddersfield; Scannell transfer-listed by Huddersfield.
Our Keef supposedly on the way to Watford on a season long loan. I think they have a very good chance of finishing above Bolton this season!

His signing and subsequent exile from Bolton is bizarre. I can only assume they signed him drunk on parachute payments and now they need to get him off the wage bill as they're still, I think, losing something like £30m a year. He should really have learned his lesson from Blackburn and just stayed away from any team in Greater Manchester. He has much more luck in the south.
loaned to Watford for the season: http://www.watfordfc.com/news/articl...d-1777492.aspx
Can Andrews feel a bit aggrieved at not being in contention for the Irish squad seeing as he was our player of the tournament in 2012 (obviously the best of a very very bad bunch)??
Don't think so. Too many younger guys playing at a higher level. I suppose Paul Green's inclusion could generate a debate but even he's a good couple of years younger at least.
If I was him, I'd definitely be pi$$ed off not getting near the squad after being Irish player of the tournament in 2012. i think he deserves his place in the squad myself ahead of Paul Green anyway. I think he can do the same job as Whelan and offer more of a goal threat
A pretty classy assist from Andrews yesterday. I hate Vine.
More here
Even without Whelan and Green, I'd have McCarthy, Meyler, Gibson, Quinn and Hendrick all ahead of him at this stage really, so not something I'd be concerned about. At 34 and playing in the Championship he'd want to be doing something fairly spectacular to warrant a second thought.
That is certainly a reasonable view, he is top of the Championship with Watford, he has only played
about 6 games though however his points average when he plays is slight higher than when he didn't
by my estimation and that flick through for the goal, well we could do with a bit of that couldn't we?
He is pretty decent on the defensive side and gets the odd goal too.
Well they are currently 22 place above Bolton so your thinking has proved pretty accurate so far!!
It is only Blackpool who are keeping Bolton off the bottom of the league.
As far as football decisions go the one to loan him out because "he has no future at the Reebok Stadium." is about as bad as
it gets. However in a way they were right, Andrews is way too good for League One whcih is where Bolton are currently
headed. Watford seem to be headed in the other direction ie into he Premiership.
He should be making the 36 man squad.
It seems he is nowhere near the manager's thoughts
Andrews disappointed by Watford treatment.

Jokanovic insecure about Andrews influence behind the scenes it would seem.

It is one of those jobs where you really really need to want it.
Andrews was on 'Goals on Sunday' yesterday speaking about his present situation:
