Ah it was an easier time back then.
This is the greatest pile of horsehit ever to come out of Seanie 'I know Mick McCarthy and met Murhinio' Connor's orifice.
Gentlemen, I invite you to ponder this. Imagine you are the manager of a Premier/Championship side and you ask your 'very best friend' who happens to be managing a League side on the west coast of Ireland about a player in his squad (squad because he's not playing him in the first team - how you would have got to hear about him in that case is another matter). Anyway, your 'very best friend' tells you that he is going to be better than Steve Finnan. What do you do? My money says you get out your cheque book rapid and write a cheque for 60000 euro or the sterling equivalent and sign him pronto. Unless......
1) You know your very best friend is a spoofer who could not even talk into the right end of the phone when he was answering it for you at Birmingham
OR
2) The conversation never took place
Connor might know Mick, but Mick hasnt a clue who he is.
Cringeworthy stuff

He's some spoofer. good luck to Cork if they get him:)
seanie should run for taoiseacht he is a bullsh1tter of the highest quality, rumour has it he is charlie haugheys love child........ and bertie ahern is his second cousin twice remove ;)
Delighted for Coleman, cracking performance, especially the manner in which he avoided Ekotto's attempts to bisect him in the lead up to Everton's first goal.
Mind you, enjoyed Connor's cringeworthy moment courtesy of the youtube link even more! Please God he doesn't get the job at our place
just after everyone thought's seamie's week couldnt get any better he's just scored a hat-trick against liverpool in the merseyside derby....
God bless FIFA 10????
Is Connor going to claim the credit for bringing Lionel Messi to Barcelona?
My second post below from that thread was nearly even more prophetic though!!;):D Typical Seamie, he hasn't changed anyways, it could nearly have described his performance at Goodison last weekend. The only thing is he made a hell of a lot more than one great run down the line against Spurs!!:)
Back on the bench today for Seamie
Was a bit susprised hes not starting after last week but id say he might get on in the second half. Live on Premier League Live on TodayFM
IMO, I think Moyes made the right choice today.
i know their are two lads heading over to see him hopefully in action on thursday in the europa league against bate borisov
Seamus Coleman starting tonight against Bate Barisov in a very youthful team,
anyone got a link for on line watching?
there was an excellent piece on seamie coleman in todays star on sunday.. It was Sean Dohertys dad whos a scout at Everton who tipped off David Moyes about this prodigy.Where is Doherty now playing?
no it was,nt. it was gunther goswallop who informed moyser !
i think moyes now needs to take achance and give him a start in the league. drawing games every week, hibbert offers nothing what so ever.
I've passed on your advice to Moysie and he says thanks. Says he doesn't know how he'd manage without you.
Report from yesterday's game......
But inspired by Moyes' half-time warning that he would be disappointed if his side only ended up with a point, Everton returned in determined fashion and went close through Marouane Fellaini and Saha as the home side dropped ever deeper in an attempt to preserve their lead.
They finally claimed their reward with five minutes remaining when Fellaini controlled Tony Hibbert's cross and blasted a shot into the roof of the net.
I do not think we should be too surprized if we see Shamie Coleman going out on loan, if I was the manager I would consider it. Reason being that it he is unlikely to get a game until injuries force Everton to bring Shamie on. The manager is under pressure to move the team up the league and he will not take chances with unproven players in the Premiership. From Colemans point of view he is learning nothing new from a playing point of view and a period with a Championship side would help him to sharpen his skill and match fitness. If he came on for Everton now, he would be very short of match fitness but I have not doubt having seen all the games he has played including reserves, he will be in the first team later this year.
A couple of penalty shouts ensued before Pienaar's shot was deflected wide and David Moyes switched Tony Hibbert for Seamus Coleman.
The full-back had only been on a couple of minutes when he provided the cross that Cahill despatched at the second attempt with nine minutes left to play.
