Div 1A Fixtures
Tues 28/03/06
Star Rvs v Abbey Rvs
Balla v Corbally
Dines v Wembley
Coonagh v Caherdavin
Lads
One result from the weekend was Star 8-0 Croom, ref blew this game up 10mins into the second half.
In all fairness as the leader stated today, that even though they are a very poor outfit Croom must be congratulated for turning up for their league fixtures when it would be just as easy to give walk overs.
Sorry lads I was looking at an earlier page. Best 11 players in 1A
Congratulated, To B Honest I Think They Should Have Been Thrown Out Of The League Well Before Xmas. Nothing Worse Than Looking Forward To Playing A Match On Sunday And Having It Blown Up Early. What A Waste Of A Sunday. Abbyvale They Did The Same To Us Out Tere. They Even Brought On A 14 Year Old Who I Taught Was Tere Mascot Before The Match Started
You cant throw a team out of the league just because they are a poor team. Although bringing on 14 year olds is a bit dangerous. A young player like that could easily get injured at junior level.Quote:

i didnt explain myself properly so, i didnt want them out of league cause they were bad, if u play bad all year u will b relegated, but fielding 8 or 9 players consistinly and other players running the risk of hurting young players(14) or hurting themselves for a match u know u are going to win even before u kick a ball, isnt good enough
its a disgrace.i know they lost players to bruff and st.pats oh ya and prison but not being able to get a team together all season is a joke.total lack of interest and nothing else theres always guys who'll play just get out and find them.Geraldines are the lucky 1s this season cos they would of went down only for Abbey and Croom been so bad......whose going for promotion from 1B?
Oh ok sorry. I didnt realise that they were only fielding 8 or 9 players. Well thats different I can see your point now.Quote:

I have Abbey down as having played 18 games but on the LDMC website they are down as playing 17, but I'm nearly sure they have played 18.
Can anyone let us know if the Corbally game went ahead???
there will be a few star matchs blown up early as well next year they are a poor teamQuote:

These are the only league fixtures for 1A. I think some of the teams might still be in lawson so they are probably playing in that.

stupid comment.fair enough geraldines have been brutal this year but thats just a stupid comment.
At the moment it looks like Prospect and Cappamore going up to 1A next year. Either one of them would need to throw it away.Quote:

If I was to start a list of players that played with Geraldines in the last 8-10 years I could name a team that would be challenging for top honours in all comps, including the FAI.

Croom v Herbertstown
Tuesday 04.04.06
Balla v Star Rvs
Shannon v Coonagh
Caherdavin v Abbey Rvs
Geraldines v Summerville
If Summerville win their next 2 above games they will go 2 pts ahead of Corbally with Corbally having a game in hand over Summerville, so I wouldnt rule Summerville out just yet, considering Corbally and Herbertstown still have to play each other as well.
name an eleven,brian buckley,bobby ryan,tommy barrett,mike carey,Quote:

Missing were,
Geoffery Joyce, Graham Carey, Brian Doherty, Dave Costelloe, Kevin Hogan, Johnathan Griffin, Derek Hannon, John Barry, & Derek Mc,
On top of that we had to play 3 minor players and also had to play with 3 players that were carrying injuries,,,
Yes, I agree we were poor but in all fairness our minds are firmly set on the league and yesterday was by far our worst performance of the season, but as they say " a win is a win" and we are through to the next round.
Ger Collopy, Tommy Barrett, Paul Dillon, Brian Buckley, Mike Carey, John Carey, Lou Quigley, Darren Walsh, Conor (Corky) Croke, Keith McNicholas, Alan Barry, Bobby Ryan, Dara McMahon, Barry McNamara, Bilko Mc, Len O Grady, Steven (Buller) Walsh, Pa McGarry,Quote:

You can add Derek Hannon, Pa Moloney & Dave (Farmer) Moloney to that list as well as Davey Wall.Quote:

Pick your starting eleven from the list and they would easily be top of the Premier League or there abouts.
The ldmc website didnt take long to go slack, did it?
We played Abbey this day last week and it has yet to be updated.
Last updated was on 27th March, what a joke.
Fixtures for tonight.
Tuesday 04.04.06
Balla v Star Rvs
Shannon v Coonagh
Caherdavin v Abbey Rvs
Geraldines v Summerville
Abbey and Croom could be relegated tonight, if Abbey lose or draw to Caherdavin and Balla beat us, then both Abbey and Croom will be officially relegated (thats if Abbey have played 18 and not 17 games, can someone confirm??, maybe AbbeyFan, if your still alive and well).
