should be a good game. Olympic boys riding high and Newtown not having thier best season. lets hope we're all grown ups about it so there's no repeats of past melee's :)Quote:

Should be a tough one for Oly B.
Newtown beat Ennistymon 3-1 last time out & drew with Newmarket
so their form has improved all of a sudden.
Oly B should still shade it though.
and what about the newtown A and bunratty match on the same time..will donal "big daddy" magee be running away with his tail betwwen his legs
newtown are in great form of late with a good win agaist cratloe and an even better win away to top of the table bridge utd 2-0. the rats have been up and down this season so newtown in there form could squeeze it! the league is still wide open for everyone. some good times to come in the premier! :) :)Quote:

This could turn into a dogfight expect Rats B to put out a strong team against the Specials and a draw is on the cards with both teams not finishing with 11 players( This could get hot under the collar). Can anyone from Rats tell me what the problem is between these two clubs, something must have sparked this off!!!!
Corofin and Rock to play each other fancy this could end in another stalemate result, got to say this league is probably one of the most exciting for years, 8 teams fighting for the top 3 places as I would not write Kilmaley out of the equation, if they beat Kilrush then they are right in the hunt
Prediction
1st Mountshannon Celtic
2nd Tulla Utd
3rd Bridge Celtic
4th Corofin Harps
5th Shannon Olympic
6th Rock Rovers
7th Kilkishen Celtic
8th Kilmaley Utd
9th Bunratty B
10th Kilrush Rangers
Don't think that Tulla will have it all their own way against Kilkishen.
Its the local derby & the lads are well up for this one.
Should be a real dinger of a game.
Hope everybody stays on the field for the 90 well everyone from Kilkishen that is.
Of course Tulla's crap pitch won't be doing anyone any favours !!!

For me, Bridge Celtic are stronger than Mountshannon eventhough they've thrown away a few points lately. Do you really think Corofin are stronger than Olympic?? It's a very interesting prediction and one I really want to compare with the table at the end of the season.
I see Kilrush took great pride in writing in their Hammering of the Rats B to the champion. CousinSyl must be mortified ;)

As I've said before, the only real rivarly we have is with Newtown.........

The contempt with which you hold Olympic is really quite hilarious, please tell us why you hate us so much, its ever so upsetting............ :D
If its A teams ye are on about how could Oly be rivals to Newtown and Bunratty when they are not even in the same division. If its B teams ye refer to then I dont think we have met too often over the years although that may change soon enough :DQuote:

Bunratty A teams rivals would prob be Bridge or Newmarket or Avenue as they have fought for titles for the last 5/6 years. As for the B team not sure really but I suppose Oly would be as they are nearest to us.
As for Kilrush all over the Champion.... fair play to them. Its their 1st win of the season and was obviously deserved. News I got though was Bunratty started with 10 and had 2 sent off in the 1st 15 mins. Bit of work to do before Tuesday methinks.

looking forward to Tuesday night I must admit, be nice to(possibly) get one over on my old friend Barry Keane. He looked excellent in ye're midfield against our B-team in the cup. Big question is.......will Cousinsyl be taking to the filed tuesday night, and how will he cope with the pace of olympics front men?????????????? :D

But if you do I will be the first to congratulate you but as I have previously said your Club always flatters to decieve, time will of course tell if I am to be correct or not, but History is a funny thing it is does repeat itself!
Its about time some lads from other teams got on here.Quote:

As for the West Clare lads the internet is probably a foreign concept at this stage. Give them another 10 years & they'll have discovered it :D
Don't assume that just because I don't cut Olympic down as some contributers do that I'm an Olympic man. I merely felt, having seen most teams in the division at this stage, that Olympic are a better side.Quote:

What can I say, I was wrong fair play to Bridge Celtic and Kilkishen, this league is just impossible to call, 8 teams must still fancy their chances if they can put a run of 4 or 5 wins together, Big game for Kilkishen against Kilmaley, if they can win that one then Beat Tulla at home and they are right back in the hunt. I wonder who is the happier of Mountshannon or Bridge Celtic, should be a cracking game next week definately and I will be there to watch.Quote:

Great result for Kilkishen beatng Tulla. They'll be sickened.
A good evening all round !! :)
Yeah agreed i'm a cork city supporter but i hope limerick do well in the league...hope brian knocks in a few more to get his form going. :ball: maybe we'll c a couple more clare players in league of ireland.... maybe nabs will get his chance.... he would be well able for PREMIER LOI!!
well as a newtown man myself, there hasn't been much talk about it so it's a mystery at the moment. i'd say if anythings gonna happen they'll wait til both teams' domestic seasons have finished to sort things out. thats if anything happens at all!Quote:

Well I have herd this is a long way down the line and both clubs have drawn up a list of Club rules, picked a name and are working on the finance side, So I think this will go ahead, not sure how the Clare League are going to respond to this, if it does happen this could make the 1st Division a benificiary of the Premier, if Newtown finish outside the bottom 3 what will the league do, top 3 automatically promoted or top 3 plus a playoff place!Quote:

Well considering all the bad blood on this site alone the players think it is a Derby!!!!!Quote:

Do I take it you think the new name will be Park then. Or are you just referring to what will then be ex-Newtown players??

Massive wins for Newtown & Manus in the 3rd division.
Cup went pretty much as expected except for that Specials A Bridge Utd B result.
So come on lads what happened ?? Is this the beginning of the end of your season ??[/QUOTE]
You got that result wrong there Paul.... Olympic beat Bridge B 1-0 and now play Avenue B in the quarter final.
I think there has been a ban put on foot.ie involvment today by the Oly managment ahead of tonights game with Rats B....
Sorry about that lads I should never have doubted ye :o :o :oQuote:

Their chance looks to be gone no. They've more games played than any of the teams around them & just haven't gotton the points on the board in the last few weeks.
Bridge Celtic B seemed to have improved beyond all measure.
All of a sudden they've beaten Manus & Olympic B & only lost 1-0 to Kilkee in the last few games. This from a team that was being hammered every week.
Must have signed some new players !!
