other way round by the looks of this
Not to far off Donal 56 in all competion think he got 33 in the league. He went to Dundalk .Think he got 8 in his first season with Dundalk.Il ask him and let you know for sure.He has hit a bit of form of late for us Abbey 4 in 4 games now 3 of them coming from midfield and 1 as a striker.Great header of the ball for the little size of him.Top man aswell
suprised how ye get by with such a small squad, theres always 4 or 5 missing for us for some reason at the weekends
33 in the league isn't bad at all
How many did McTiernan score for Boyle in the season before he joined Rovers?
33 in 18 games, then another 23 in cups etc, which would have been about 10 games! unbelievable!
Strand Celtic 2 Manor Rangers 2, Manor missed a penalty as well.
Congratulations Abbey, best team won it again
I didnt even know Manor were playing until wardy called up to the house. To tell me we had just won the league again.Manor will have tere day! of that i am sure still a lot of young lads in the squad. And they still have alot to play for yet.Still in conn cup local cups and the Champions Cup.But on saying we had to keep a eye over or shoulder the whole way.Very good side we knew they would run us close. After playing then in the first game of the season.Happy days number 6 in the bag.:):)
well done abbey again.....ye might give someone else a chance next year
red metal, i take your thankyou in the form of a cold pint!:p
You'll have to reinforce the mantelpiece Red Metal, it must be weighed down with trophies at this stage :D
Who are the young players coming through?
Is what i meant we still have a young squad! The average age is about 26 0r 27.So there is still a bit to come from this team.Just talking to wardy he told me he has 17 winners trophys since he started playing at juinor level.6 league 1 conn cup 5 Mc Sharry and foleys.2 champions cups.and 3 robert cawleys not a bad hall. And Paddy Conlon would be the same because they are the longest serving players at the club.Plus both of them won Sligo Leitrim player of the year
Yeah, Eamon Rooney scored the winner in extra time
well done manor and abbey today, great wins away in galway in the cup. abbey won 5-1 against galway hibs and manor beat mervue 2-1. fare play to both teams
If correct thats 6 in a row for Abbey UTD, have they won it previous to 02/03 ?
Any other team done 6 or more in a row ? or what was the previous record for successive championships ?
