So then a great day. Here's hoping that Robbie scores tomorrow.
Good to see Conolly get off the mark as well. Sunderland is turning into my favourite team.
Duff though was terrible today. He has really lost his confidence.
November 17?
Anyone see the Reading-Charlton game? Hunt got 9/10 on the Sky sports website so i presume he was awarded man-of-the-match. I heard Reid didn't have the best of starts to his CMF role, not great but not terrible either but maybe he'll improve over the coming weeks.
Did not see the game but the Guardian also gave Hunt man of the match.
He is what, 25 now? He's making his move and deserves a call-up.
He did not perform too well in the b team match.
Joe Gamble is more deserving of one.
I can't say I have seen much of him but up until now he has been a regular starter but only been average, if solid. From the sounds of it, today was his best game of the season so far. We have to remember he was playing against a team at the bottom of the table and low on confidence. However, if he can keep that level of performance up over the next few months he would merit a call up to the full team squad. Strange that he is making more of an impact for Reading this season than he did in the championship last season.
Good point with regard to Charlton being such a weak team.
We'll have to see but Staunton doesn't have the wherewithal to make any interesting decisions.
Some of the sunderland message boards are saying Liam Lawrence is gone to Stoke on loan.
Shay Given was superb for Newcastle this afternoon.
The Donegal man is the best keeper in the premiership
Just watched MOTD tonight and Hunt were excellent. He obviously has the ability and if he could keep putting in performances like this he should not be far off a call up. Doyle scored a nice goal but Andy Reid was not great.
Yes, thats what it said on www.safc.com as well
Prestons Alan McCormick has gone on loan to Southend
Jon Walters scored for Chester on Friday
He's come out of nowhere. People said he wasn't great in the B match but he seems to be getting better and better with every match. A lot more skilful than I thought against Charlton and Coppell (Who is an excellent manager) clearly rates him. He's pretty much a fixture and also beginning to stand out in an impressive Reading team. Kilbane would want to watch himself. I hope its not just a case of Death Threats getting the best out of him... No cynicism intended.
