I was waiting for mr man to post so I could congratulate him but anyway a good three points fpr clough to keep their 100% record going.
I think our biggest fault on the day was that we spent the first half trying to play football from the back, which was suicide, and went in 3 nil down at half time. A draw might have been the fairest result in the end but it was not to be, clough away will be a hard fixture for everyone this season.
clough are the team we all have to chase now so, what way is their pitch is it still the way it was last year across the field?
we scrapped past a good redmondstown team yesterday aet 3-1, sound bunch of lads who put on a right spread for us in the pub afterwards thanks lads
Cheers panda .. We were delighted with the win even though i dont think we played particually well esp in the 2nd half.. Ye fought back well i must say .. What happened with one of your players .. Did he just walk off the field .. I only heard it after the game.. didnt even notice it during the game although i was wondering why ye were making a sub so early..
@celticlads
Pitch is better than last year, lower half isn't too bad at all. Well done on ye're win yesterday, always good to see north teams progressing.
@mrman
Ya it definitely was a game of two halves but with the hill and the wind I suppose that was always going to be the way. Being honest, I think ye are a stronger outfit this season but less of a footballing team but then again playing on that field it might be the way to go :)
Improvement will be needed for a league challenge but best of luck with it!
As for the man going off early in the game, it's a long story but it was a major blow for us, our most senior and probably our strongest player. You wouldn't see it on Dream Team :P
Alright lads, first post but just wanted to say for anyone who is interested in the happenings down the lower leagues Shannon Rangers out in front in the 3rd at the moment, John Flannery scoring goals for fun this season. Have to say Lough Derg B looking pretty strong by all accounts
I haven't seen Lough Derg B play or played them, but they have only a .50 win rate (discounting the default win against Shannon Rangers). Rangers have a strong team, but player turnout is an issue for them and they've already a default loss because of poor turnout. Majority of their matches have been home games; so, we'll know if they've resolved it after their results from the long stretch of away games.
Who do you play for, redsect?
