Individual bans is the only way to sort this out..............if Shels pull out of the league then these trouble makers will just wait until the new season starts and sign with another club and start all over again (just like when they left Distillery to join Shels).........
If they received bans (and lenghty ones at that) it would keep them away from decent clubs that are just trying to do right............so the club would gain, and the refs would gain by not having to deal with these guys weekly........
Well Pike B love the new logo/crest<<<<<<>>>>>>>
Knockainey lost their manager before the match on sunday (he resigned not died) so it was all a bit up in the air Sunday. It was a pity to loose him as he put a lot of very hard work into the squad he had but we are finding it very hard to put out our best 11 n a Sunday morning. We lost 5 first team players to Australia, Lads are not training, going out on a Saturday evening etc etc etc......things have chainged a lot in a couple of short years......:(
What will happen to the manager if he drops the players that are causing trouble????(I think we all know what would happen)
Better off pulling out or get a few of their B players who would love the chance to be playing with their A team. There's trouble at all their games lately. For a match to be called off after 8 mins is a major problem
Best option for Shels maybe. but you have to respect the league as well. it should only be a last resort to pull a junior team out halfway through a season. it's only 2 or 3 players who are causing trouble. ban them and the problem is solved. everyone knows who they are. shels owe it to themselves to get rid of them
The LDMC have to do something quick about it.I cant understand why Shels arent doing anything about it especially when they know who's causing the trouble. The club is only getting a bad name whether they know that or not and these two or three players arent bread and born Shelbourne either so its all the one to them whether the club is thrown out or not.
If you pull Shels out of Div 1B the players will just move on and start it all over again with another club, hence moving the problem rather than solving it (as has already happened when they left Distillery)
The players need to be banned for the rest of the season and then a longer ban each time they commit an offence...............that way they will either cop themselves on and stop the poor behaviuor or else they'll be banned for a long period and wont be able to commit any additional offences.......
Put it this way.Id say nearly every club in the city knows who these individuals are so they're not gonna sign these players unless they want to end up getting a bad name for their club. One of these players got a 2 year ban and still got to play this season. What's the point in banning a player if the rule doesnt stand....
why isnt anybody naming the players?
Sorry to hear that Knockmad...we played ye in cup final last year and ye had a very good team out...we had it tough last week when missing 5 of first 11 but cant imagine what it would do to club if the Recession took 5 of them away to Oz...
Best of luck with rest of season..apart from Sunday when we play ye..!!! Will that pitch honestly be playable !!
