how are the boro under so much pressure, what happened there? 3 months ago they were the best team in town
And what other team in Limerick this year has a chance of winning the FAI or Munster Junior??Janesboro?oh wait have there team has walked off..no surprises there then...Fairview have u-12's for a Junior team atm..Balla are about the only besides Pike to have a chance, but as we saw last year on a decent pitch Pike played them off it...Pity finals aren't held in places like Bateman Park(R.I.P.)..
Well from last years panal-Alan O'Shea and Barry O'Riordan are gone back to Rathkeale,Mark Houlihan based in Dublin,Ronan Sherlock gone back to Corbally,
Pa Moloney going back to Pike,Ado Fitzsimmons and Alan Barry injured,
Alan O'Keeffe work commitments, and Nicky Carroll suspended. Thats 9 players missing from last years team, any club would find it difficult to replace that many players and still get good results.:(:(
john bolye is officially signed and registered with carew park. pike has signed his transfer and he is now a carew park player. IMO i think he is a fantastic player and will be a huge asset to carew.
will he be a loss a pike??
is that why conny was nearly crying and begging him to stay when he went up the get his form signed. green hoop will you cop yourself on you know aswell as every other pike supporter that he is an excellent player and pike will miss him big time.
i posted at the start of the season that the main aim this season for carew was not to get dragged into a relagation battle like last season. green hoop your the only one talking about carew and the league title.
carew are not going to win the league everyone at carew knows that and everyone around the town does aswell all we have is a good start to the season thats all like UL.
i wonder why boylers wanted to leave pike so much mmmm would anyone like to guess lets see
1. pike are a better team than carew so thats not the reason
2. pike have better FACILTYS than carew so that cant be it
3. he is not going to get a junior cap with carew so that cant be it
i really dont know why he would want to leave pike a club were all the players are treated the same and all the players recive the same things at the end of the week. anyone like to guess why he left pike
he got dropped against wembly and was ****ed off over it plus got taken off a good few games this year john thinks hes better than he is thats hes problem he hasnt played a decent game since the fai match against gratten last year it will give wayne o donovan a chance now anyway
your right hoops he really does think he better than he is even lim21s never called him in this year he was hoping for a cap from conny as well its a shame really coz going to carew is really a bad move career wise for him
U spoke as if winning the FAIs up at Pike is the norm.I actually agree with you ala John Boyle - an average player in my view, its just goes to show how low the standard has dropped if we are considering him a top class winger and whats all this nonsense about him getting capped???Come on lads seriously
alot of talk about caps recently wheres it all coming from?
the pike manager
as with every one who leaves pike he goes with the best wishes of most people at the club (you'll always have one or two) .... personally I think its a bad move for him, no offence intended to carew, but in the two years he's been at pike he won a league title and a mjc ..... not bad for a 21 year old ... theres a lot of good 30 somethings around who havent won anything of signifigance playing junior for 10 or 15 years.
I've a feeling he may regret this in the future but good luck to him all the same
p.s. Wayne O Donovan has the potential to be a more than ample replacement for him
agree
I totally agree with Mitresize5. He'll be a massive asset for Carew, but Pike have 4 or 5 options to play on the right wing so won't be a major loss. I also think he'll regret this its definately a step back for him again no offence to Carew. Maybe he wants to be a big fish in a small pond ...so on. Best of luck to the lad and as Pa Moloney and Pa McGarry have shown the door is never closed to come back.
I also agree about young dunny he is showing big potential.
when ye say dunny is he related to the original dunny?
a bit light at thr minute but looking at granda and da he wont be long filling out :)
a winger who like to get his crosses in, even if it means he doesnt have to skin someone first
This is probably the first post that ACTUALLY made me laugh...
Probably the main reason as a few already have said before me,he got too big for his own boots..I'd go along with Monster I think it was who said it and agree that he hasn't played well since the Grattan game last season..
Pike have more than enough players to fill in on the left side in particular Wayne O'Donovan.
And m8 talk rubbish about Pike when you actually OWN your own pitch and facilities and don't take hand outs from LDMC and it wasn't like Boyle was goin to get an Irish cap any time soon if he can't handle being dropped for one or two games, better players than himself have say on the Pike bench..
/Let the flaming begin..
And See's it your last post :
Wayne was part of that great wembley school boys side 2/3 seasons back,Broke his leg if I recall right in the Fai semi-final for them and never got to play the final!?!?! or it was somethin along those lines anyway..
broke his leg vs cherry orchard and missed out in the final that year, when he came back broke it again against balla in the ger ryan youth cup final a couple of months later. got a very bad dose of it in two seasons so great to see him back playing top football again
i was told that boyle was ****ed off up in pike cause conny was taking him off in games and also cause pike were paying certain new signings from last season and this season that they got from league of ireland.2 players mentioned,1000-1200 euro being mentioned that these players got to sign
carew park actually have there owe pitch and facilities and it will be ready in two months and another thing it will better alot of facilities in this town when its complete. as for hand out from the ldmc your making up lies now green hoop why or what would the ldmc hand out to carew park nothing
the pitch is in barrys field
as for who is building it i dont know
the prem field has 38 drains underneath the surface. it is promised to match any playing surface in the country when its complete
the dressings rooms are massive home and away with 12 showers in each one. a ref room, a physio room and a area for players to warm up.
an all weather field with floodlights
and a car park for 85 cars
i think that will match anything in the town im sure you would even agree there green hoop.
it would be great if carew got all this i just hope its not 85 burnt out cars.
its alot of facilitys for a 1 team club though
On the subject of pitches. If a junior club makes a one-off request to use Jackman Park should they have to pay for it esepcially since all clubs have to pay a levy to the LDMC every year? Plus there is a senior club using it who haven't paid a penny to use it.
Nothing againist Hill Celtic or Carew Park but it seems like a duplication of facilities to me.. Why not develop hogan park... Build new dressing rooms, renovate pitch and convert back pitch to all weather..
The fai said that they were going to make hogan the local FAI center of excellence...makes no sense to spend all that money across the road if they are going to do the same with hogan park..if both Hoagan park and barry's filed are both developed along the same lines it would be a huge waste of resources IMO..
I have never heard of a fee for the use of jackmann by one of the clubs that OWN it..
LFC37 pay for all of the upkeep and other expenses in the use and renovation of the pitch. That is what was said at the satrt of the season... have no idea if it has come to pass.
