Hard to see the point in that game from either team both will have learned nothing from it.
Looking forward to seeing how the old AUL teams get on across in the MSL in their debut weekend over there.

A nice footballing team Grangevale , comfortable v Grattan B earlier in Mayfield. 3-0 when i went away presume they saw it out. ( Maybe Grattan were "short a few";) ).
Ya confidence is key. You'd want to be somewhat close to fitness and game plan at this stage with 2 weeks to go. Even with a friendly, you'd be happy for the week with a win and be ****ed off with a loss. Good when you win to focus on improving and keeping the positives going, a bad loss and you're starting with mostly negatives.
Looking forward to seeing what teams are like in 2 weeks, having seen a lot of teams around, some difference in where teams are at. Seen a Junior game and a Senior game this weekend, good to be back.
On the other hand, playing poor opposition and winning easy can bite you when the serious stuff starts. Has to be a challenge to get good use from the friendlies or no point.
20mins left in Mayfield park, Leeds juniors 1-0 up . See the evergreen Alan Larkin and Dave Linehan down from the seniors with Leeds. No sign of Leeds goal machine Martin Cronin though. Few lads blowing hard now on the big pitch and pace of the game very slow.
Good to see the first fixtures out.

Probably right there Silvermint, Hearing Village are much the same as last year, city wanderers have got 1 or 2 and Glen have lost a good few since the change of management there. Kanturk will be a tough away game for all teams and they will be hard to beat.
Glen have added a few from what I saw ..lots of misinformation out there with all clubs.it seems your making out the shake up split their camp I was told the opposite .what can a club do if there.s no confidence in management got to go with the players .
From the few games i saw last year Glen were excellent and all the" behaviour" associated with them in the past was gone. Talk around is the management were pushed when the previous manager wanted the role back. Lots of family influence involved i heard. Anyway, is what it is and the proof will be when the the results come in. Wish them luck as when they focus on the football only, they can be very good.
Can tell you now the previous manager wanted no football but was aproched by no less then 9 player s that wanted a change as what was reflected in the decision made I'm told it was a landslide.no one was pushed the glen just felt after losing the big games a change was needed.
Only passing on what im hearing, I mentioned 4 teams chances but you are fixated on all glen comments. You seem to have all the info on the Glen Steve - you're obviously involved with either playing or maybe management??? 😷.
Like your good self just passing on what I'm hearing but the aul is a small place and we all know someone from every club ..and getting smaller I might ad.just making sure the rights of a situation are told.all parties last season the same management was put forward so there was no issues with any thing but 1 wanted changes.for reasons of football.
New thread for new season.
