That was quick
Derry 1-0 down already...
4 minutes gone
derry down 1. Balls
Ack, they score a header from a set-piece after two minutes. Bad defending. Bad start.
Decent pressure and play there from Derry. Are people watching a stream without commentary?
Derry fans cheering at hitting the side netting.
2-0 now, boo
Better from Derry now. Two corners in quick succession, an optimistic long-range effort from Aaron McEneff and a good run from Nathan Boyle, but his shot ends up in the side-netting. Derry fans behind the goal were celebrating thinking it was in. Thought it as in myself. A bit more hopeful anyway.
Edit: Derry concede another just as I've posted that. Poor defending from set-pieces.
Two nil now!
Coleraine 6-0 down now, midway through the second half
Cork's potential next-round opponents, AEK Larnaca, are 2-0 up at home to Lincoln Red Imps now with half an hour left.
3-0 there now
Poor night for the island clubs so far.
Coleraine now 7-0 down. Bala 2-0 down at home to Vaduz after 20 minutes. Bangor with a respectable 1-0 loss away v Lyngby. Connah's Quay scoreless v HJK so far.
AEK 4-0 up now, and no doubt that they'll go through
1-0 Connah's Quay!
They knocked out Stabaek last year
Connah's Quay at it again in Europe.
And Derry 3-0 down. Ho hum
3-0 to Midtjylland. This time a penalty after Doherty brought down their attacker in the box.
Having the 2nd leg at 'home' in Sligo looking a bit of a disaster for Derry now.
Derry haven't even been playing that badly in open play. Midtjylland have just been very clinical at set-pieces. They're quick in attack and their technical ability is evident, but I sense they're not as strong at the back as they are up front. Derry were having some joy down the left, especially through Curtis at one point. There might be a goal in Derry yet, but the scoreline so far is terribly disappointing.
St Johnstone 1-0 down at home to Trakai of Lithuania.
The SPL's traditional fine European campaigns off to a good start
Don't know how Curtis wasn't awarded a penalty there. He was clearly tripped in the box.
I know there isn't TV for Shamrock.
But is there any radio or live commentary apart from Twitter and the Europa league official one?
Thanks
Crusaders 1 up
Derry 4-0 down now.
5-0. Disaster.
5-0 now
Good thing they have a free weekend to prepare for the next leg.
They should rearrage the Harps game.
Dissapointed for them. Playing second leg in showgrounds is a real downer as well with the tie over. Bad draw.
2-0 Crusaders. St Johnstone 2-1 down at home.
Nightmare for Derry, but it was a tough draw. Rovers and Cork were very fortunate with their opponents.
Curtis gets a goal back for Derry after some really careless play at the back between Midtjylland's keeper and defender. 5-1.
The comeback is on!!
Midtjylland have a goal ruled out for offside and Doherty makes a good save with their attacker pretty much clean through a minute later. I'd say they could have another goal or two left in them yet. They're getting so much space.
Cracking long-range effort by McEneff, but it clips the cross-bar and goes over.
Another Midtjylland goal ruled out due to offside.
Rory Patterson comes off. Didn't really offer much against this sort of opposition.
It is 6 now.
When was the last hammering like this?
(Edit - now that it's gone beyond UCD 1-5 Slovan...)
6-1. I can't say I'm not enjoying this.
6-1. The game is ridiculously open now. Derry all over the place at the back. Total disorganisation and chaos with Midtjylland routinely slicing through the Derry defence like a knife through butter.
That was 5-1 as well. Just checking rsssf to see what it shows.
Edit - Pat's 0-5 Legia in 2014, albeit that Pat's had very nearly won the away leg.
Dundalk 0-6 Levski Sofia in 2010 too, in the second round.
Rovers 0-7 Gornik Zabrze in 1994.
And that's really it until you go back to the 80s. (And I should note our game against Slovan was 2-1 and very competitive until 10 minutes to go.
This looks like a right hammering tonight)
Rovers still 0-0 in Iceland at least. Seems a bit more evenly matched.
