Crowley was OK, but not outstanding - he looked comfortable on the ball but didn't get much of a chance to influence proceedings as Birmingham were overrun by Pompey and he was subbed on the hour. This really needs to be sorted in our favour. At the rate England are capping young players at underage level we could end up losing out on a lot of potential players if the decision goes against us.
What's the issue I wonder? Or is it that it hasn't been finalized and concluded in our favour and it's only a matter of time? Very unclear.
It'd be the same as Ryan Johansson, whether he had Irish nationality at the time he represented England or not.

Hopefully he should be fine. Like I highly doubt Callum Robinson and Ciaran Clark had Irish passports when they played competitively for England U21s and they were deemed eligible by way of grandparents.

Robinson definitely fits into the criteria where Johansson and Crowley do. He played in competitive football for England before having an Irish passport because he certainly didn't have one back then. I'd imagine there's a good few players who fall in that category who made the switch. FA typically don't care because these players aren't good enough to be a blip on the English radar.Quote:
