Am its very hard to say who is going to go up at this stage of the season.. because the top 3 teams still have play to play each other shannon have to travel to caherdavin and summerville have to come out to shannon and summmerville still have to play caherdavin once or twice not too sure so it could go any way at the top.. i agree with you in saying herberstown and croom will go down..
Well ive seen shannon town a few times this season and you can be sure summerville won't be fearing them and caherdavin are on a real high at the moment and are gunning for a crack at the premier so my two to go up would be s'ville and caherdavin, summerville are a nice side and caherdavin are no mugs, summerville to beat them to top spot though... shannon town dont have enough quality, not enough footballers to finish top or second. to be honest i think shannon town should be careful what they wish for, if (and its a big if) they do go up to the premier it'll be a long, long season up there for them, they would be blown out of it altogether, hit for 6 week in week out
Nobody fancy Star then??? we've played 9 league games so far (7 of which have been away from home) and are still only a point behind Summerville with the same games played..........we'll just keep plugging away and see how we get on...............ye keep tipping the top 3 for promotion, that suits us............
Caherdavin have a few games in hand though and are still top without playing a league game in over a month i think. If they can pick points up in their games in hand it will go a long way for them. They have found their last two games in the cup tough though and had to fight hard for wins. I think they are a solid team more than anything. Good in defense and midfield and have strikers that can get plenty of goals. Still too early to say anything though about who will win it in the end, anything could happen, key players getting injured, dip in form etc....
I fancy ye to go up...Although I dont believe there is a standout team in this league this year. It is tough to pick the 2 teams for promotion at this stage..Caherdavin look good but have to face all the tiop teams..But they are playing well and still unbeaten in the league.
I think Croom could get out of the relegation..Last year they were the same in the 1st half of the league..Then after christmas they got a few players back and won 4or 5 games in a row and pulled clear..
We might be halfway through the season calender wise but some teams have on only seven or eight games played in a season where you play 20odd so I think it's too early to say. Caherdavin have started well and if they can keep that up then they will go up but there is alot of football to play... You have Summerville ourselves and Star chasing and it's still tight enough for some if the other teams to put a run together and make up ground. It's gonna be interesting!!! :ball:
shannon played summerville out in shannon at the start of the season they were up one nil afta ten minutes summerville couldnt even get out of there own half in the first 30 minutes game got called off them if that game went on shannon would have hit them for 4 or 5.. shannon went out to summerville with half a team and could have gt a result out there if not a win.. summerville are no great shapes.. and to be fair any team that goes up this year will find it hard to cope with the standard of the premier...
will you give over, what game were you watching?! shannon town got a jammy goal that day and were blessed to be a goal up, another lucky break for town that day that the game was abandoned on that so called 'pitch'...summerville back four dominated and their midfield were on top. summerville are twice the team town are
SUMMERVILLE FOR THE TITLE
So you only think one of the current top four will go up......Quote:

old git do you have to stick your head in everything...its not too early to write off any team, im putting my neck on the line saying that shannon town are living in fairyland if they think they'll get up to the premier...if anybody wants to have a wager (shannonman or volley) no problem.
On the volley can you not read?!? ive quoted a previous post of mine at the top so you can try read it again.... and take off those shannon town tinted glasses as well and it might help! Ive seen Shannon town 4 times this year so far and that is more than enough to know that come the end of the season they wont be there in the mixup. Their ‘football’ is rubbish as well so i wont be going out of my way to watch them again this season, the more bad weather the better for them it’ll suit their ‘hail mary’ style approach to the game, 99 times out of a hundred the backs will try burst the ball launching it up the field and then theres a few ronan o’garas in the midfield area who like kicking the ball to touch which now and then gets a big cheer from the Shannon town supporters.. mad stuff
You'd want to be sure of what your saying I said....I never said we should have beaten Summerville....don't let your emotions spoil your point....bud...And let me clarify the switching of the game...we had seven players away at a stag who were coming back in the afternoon...so it suited us(no harm in asking is there) and no one from Shannon town has moaned about it...we just got on with things and were beaten by a better team on the day... But as for saying we won't go up...it's very early for statements like that...I'm not writing anyone off just yet!
Calm down Calm down!!!
So you saw us play them....saw us play two wesley webb matches(a tournament that we won)(a pre-season tournament) and you saw us play a game that was abandoned on a pitch that wasn't playable....and you have established from that that we are no good and wont go up???
Do you know the lottery numbers for this weekend???
i havent seen summerville play more than 2 games so i cant say if they are going to go up its too early to say who is going to go up at this stage of the season... and you have only seen shannon in pre season games and 2 other games so how can you say they are not good enough to go up.??
