I'll have to get it another way so;)
Whats people views on The Sheild, have been considering getting it. How does it compare to The Wire?
JUst finishing the box set of Season 4 of the Wire. I think it is the best season so far. Have Season 5 lined up ready and waiting.
I was thinking of getting The Corner on DVD next. Has anyone seen it and what did they think of it.
Finished season 3 of Battlestar Galacitia last night. Another great season, season 4 is on its way to me along with Season 1 of The Sheild. Battlestar is the best TV show after The Wire, Oz and Sopranos IMO.
The shield is a great show, series 7 has just ended over here and it was a great final series
Anybody watching Crash with Dennis Hopper?
A programme I'm splitting my sides at atm is Outnumbered with Hugh Dennis, the kids in it are soo funny (They have by far the best lines) and they make a brilliant comedy of a clichéd topic (Dysfunctional family) it's on BBC1 at 10 past 9 in the evenings and it's well worth a look
I posted in the first post about The US Office, now in seson 5 its still capable of perfect comedy. The youtube clip is the opening scene from episode 13. I challenge anybody to find anything funnier on TV
Got "The thick of it" and "The Corner" for recent birthday presents.
The Thick of it is Armando Iannucci's take on the behind the scences going-on in politics very good kinda like mixing the office and yes minister.
The corner was The Wire's writter David Simon's next move after Homcide: Life on the streets and is what gave him and Robert F. Colesberry the idea for the Wire. Only watched one episode so far will let you know how it plays out
The corner is very depressing Neish. Good to see members of the Wire cast playing junkies though - especially Freamon! I'm reading the book as well at the moment and it's worth checking out. 628 pages so it's going to keep me busy!
