Im a fairview man but congratulations to the boro on a good performance yesterday and best of luck in the rest of the competition - if they have any aspirations of winning it though they will have to get fitter - they looked out on there feet in the last 10 minutes - fairview are lacking a striker big time and as for Frank Browne??Cant understand how he was left stay on the pitch for 90 mins - serious questions have to be asked of the management.
Was at the game too, not sure thats a fair comment with regard fitness Monster. Know a few of the Boro lads and theyve been training very hard on weekly basis since a tough preseason. The View threw everything at them for the last 15 minutes so they were under the cosh defending constantly for that time which is tough at any level. Thought the win was well deserved and 3-1 if not 4-1 wouldnt have been undeserved based on chances alone over the 90. Boro defended well, midfield worked very hard and the strikers chased everything. Any team that goes 2-1 ahead in the last 10 in such a tight game is well entitled to adopt hoof tactics which may be misinterpreted as a lack of fitness with not running or passing the ball. View can have no complaints.
As you say on chances it wouldnt have been harsh if it indeed did finish 3-1 or even 4-1.I am not basing my judgement that they need a bit more fitness on the fact that they were hoofing the ball - its more the fact that a few dropped with cramp. But wether they do or not at least its something that can be worked on.Quote:

the 'view were definately the fitter of the two teams on show..if you were at the game, did you not see O' Donnell, Houla and Sherlock off their feet for the final quarter of the game.Quote:

what is the point in being the fitter team when some of the players picked by mr hannon & co Just aint up to it.Being down to ten men might also tire out a few players. Re: O'donnell, he had a fine game and is a lot fitter that previous terms, Some of his passing was sublime. Mr sherlock had missed some trainning as he was transferred to dublin with work. The sam applies to Hola, he is in cork with the boys in blue. Thought the sending off was a crazy. That player will now miss the next round because he took off his jersey... would the officials prefer if the player abused or throttled some player or supporter. Some of the comments by the view sideline, your know who you are, to janesboro committee members were a disgrace.... grow up lads
Was talking to a few of the lads on Sunday night, I think Sherlock and Houla hadnt been training because of work commitments and O'Donnell ended up having to work alot harder once Carroll went off. Farmers red card was a pity poor young fella didnt even think about it and was in bits coming off. What do you think about their chances against Carew....another close one :confused:Quote:

I dont know what comments were passed on the sideline but ill bet they were from the blow in section that we have above in the view.Eamonn Heffernan wouldnt entertain such behaviour nor condone it.
As regards the boro v Carew match - well here is a quote from 1 of the carew park players after sundays game ''2 bad sides'' - if thats what they think then they are in for a rude awakening.
Monster, its not often i agree with the view point of view, but i have to agree with you on the above points.John Lynne - class act. Shane madden is back with ye again after being with the boro for 2 seasons. some comments were from the blow in section but some were from within the technical area.. Mr heffernan Has worked very hard to repair some of the bad blood that had been between some clubs and the view, why should these few morons ruin his hard work, only for heffo and his like there would be no view for the blow ins... Hope carew keep up this belief about 2 bad teams
it was the same fella from the view that threw the bottle and made comments at the carew match in the fai with westport that was at it again on sunday p.s heard pike at favourites now:cool:Quote:
