You could simple passes bobbling all over the place. Granted, it's probably the best pitch most of them have ever played on but it should be far better.

So far this season Killian Brennan has been our stand out player. In his 3 competitive games so far he was MOTM at home to Glens and on Friday night and was also our best player up in Belfast away to Glentoran.
He is playing in middle of midfield as part of a midfield 3. Not sure why anyone would waste his talent at left back :)
Imagine the football we'll be able to play when the pitch improves and the team has settled in?!
Firsit six games will be difficult, but based on yesterday (against a highly fancied Cork side), I wouldn't be surprised if we went the rest of the season unbeaten and won the league.
Just don't hang up your flags then.Quote:
What a load of rubbish. Anyone who agrees to that or give their name is a grade A mong. Over the top security always results a backlash.
I don't think anyone will give one either way to be honest. :good:
I think it might have been the match when the floodlights failed? Or else the other Carlisle Grounds match the same season. Either way, a quick google hasn't turned up anything, pretty sure I didn't imagine it though!
The bottle was when I was walking home from game in 2009, some young fellas drinking bottles of beer wearing Pats jerseys lobbed one at me. Didn't come close to hitting me though, I think it was more just flung in my direction.
I have Sat up in Thomond Park in the stand ye were in for every game for the last 5 years and barr a match against Australia a few years ago yesterday was the coldest it has been for me up there. It definitely is unusual to have that strong a breeze blowing into the stand. The breeze is still ice cold and strong today by the way.
From what I've overheard on the train on the way to Bray-Pats games in the past it's because of 2 reasons:
-It's easy to get to
-Bray don't have a large hooligan element (or any element really!), so they weren't likely to get the ****e beaten out of them, and the police presence would be less.
The guys I overheard this off could barely even be called Pat's supporters, from what I could tell there was one lad there in a Pat's jersey, and his three mates who he'd brought along to cause trouble.
That said, the best banter I've had with opposition fans was probably with a few Pats supporters on a train out from town about 2 years ago. It's only ever a tiny minority who give the whole body of supporters a bad name.
That Elding fellow looks like a big unit. McEleney's pass to put Griffin through was an absolutely worldie. Finish was awful though.
Stuey Byrne says Liam Buckley isn't the man to take St.Pats forward!
Jesus I can't get over the Astro, it's in an awful state. Any plans to replace it or just rip it up and go back to grass?
Just watched MNS, the fella who scored Bohs' first goal looks about 10.
There's parts of it in a dreadful state - the sod cuts up badly as the game progresses, some parts are just mud patches, and the scrums and rucks have really taken there toll. Its really only suitable for hoofball at the moment, so good passing sides will find it very difficult. I didn't realise it was Astro though
Watched it on MNS and saw a still photo of it, 100% didn't cross the line.
Yeah i'd agree with you on that, thought you were really poor. Normally we can't buy a win against a Shels team, something mental like 6/7 wins out of 50 games against you ! but we were in complete control of that game, really should have scored more but for some poor finishing. I think you could really struggle this season along with Bohs, UCD and ourselves. I personally think we'll be ok at the end of the season but we'll still be involved near the bottom.
I'll take your word for it. I didn't get to see MNS last night. It looked like it definitely crossed the line though when it was live.
By all accounts we were gash last night as well.
I always try to be optimistic in pre-season but when it really kicks off you have no excuse. I think Bohs will be grand. Us, ye and UCD will be in bother.
But as night follows day ye will manage to escape. Bloody cockroaches. :)
