the biggest joke is that the league knew the situation for the last 6 months and still we dont know who goes up or down. what are they playing at?? and the least they could do is announce at the start of this season whether 2 teams will be relegated or not. if they dont they are a disgrace and the whole thing will be a farce.
on another issue has coleman from cashel signed with peake or borris??
bilko i think your trying to same something without actually saying it ( i may be wrong ). and balls the worst rule in the tsdl is the 5 game rule where a player cannot play for the bteam once he makes 5 appearances for the 1st team, this rule was introduced because certain clubs were sending their A players out to play with their bteam in the afternoon having already played for the A that morning. clubs like st michaels lose players every season over frustration of not getting game time once they have made their 5 app's.
the 5 game rule is alot in fairness its almost a third of league games should be less games. it works against clubs with an (a) team in premier cause they will have 5 league games played by september. can be very effective though if your(a) team is in division 1 as they kick off the season with shield games then in september involved in mjc and fai games so players might not have the 5 (a) games played till december. seen this happen happen before, club with (a) team in division 1 and (b) team in division 4. both teams were flying (a) team players helping out (b) team in the afternoon games. season after (a) team went premier and both teams suffered as a players had there 5 games played early and b team got into a losing rut without them. so its a double edged sword.(B) teams are better of sticking to there own players and taking the odd (a) team player coming back from injury or someone who needs match practice. no point packing teams when (a) team have a free weekend dont think it achieves much just ****es of the lads who have been dropped on the (b) team to accomodate the (a) players
Lads, is there any chance ye would get familiar with the rules before posting comments. On the 5 game rule - it applies to all games, not just league games. For example, if somebody plays a Munster Junior Cup game, an F.A.I. Junior cup game and three league or shield games, he has his 5 games played.
for fear of getting banned again NONONSENSE i wont start a rant, ive seen it a couple of times over the years, just trust me
No-nonsense , are you sure about 5 game rule I always thought it was just league games ?
On another note I heard yesterday town aren't entering the Joe Delaney cup at the start of the season can any of the town boys shed any light on this

A few years a go i seen a "b" team play a shield Final with a team full of "a" players and they won 5-1 It made a farce of the whole situation, i know for a fact this is a major problem for teams in lower leagues, they train just as hard as any team in any division and shouldnt be subjected to the side that certain "B" teams put out on a Sunday.
i always thought it was 5 league games and have adhered to that ruling over the years when involved with teams .when people on the ground within the club of tsdl dont know the rules not very good so suppose should get our own houses in order before we criticise tsdl etc again. will check rulebook before posting in future for fear of upsetting NONONSENSE
Yes the 5 game rule includes all games, this rule used to include just league games but it was changed about 3/4 years ago. Redman are you referring to Town B's win over Cashel in the Paddy Purtill in Cahir Park??
No im referring to Celtic B in 2007 who had the likes of Adam McSharry in their Line up, They beat Redmondstown 5-1 i think, Was talking to the Ref in the Local bar after that game and he even thought it was poor form out of Celtic but it was with in their rights . Felt sorry for Redmondstown that day, Adam destroyed them on his own
it was over 5 years ago i was involved so that clears up the rule bilko. i knew at one stage it was the 5 league games didnt realise it had changed. cheers for that.
any transfer rumours doing the rounds lads. have cahir brought anyone in yet
id say Town pulling out of the John Delaney is cup is probably in protest for the Youths not been allowed play the final of the Joe delaney, cant see any other reason, any Town lads here heard anything to the contrary?
what players have been linked withed borris and peake stelling?
